Big Grin  Yeah.  Me too.  The 16" drop was an onslaught.  Last Thursday and Sunday were skirmishes, except for the morning ice-ups.  BTW we did lose a small tree and had a large limb snap off another.  The limb was about 25 - 30 feet long, 7"+ in diameter at the trunk, and barely grazed a new fence we put in last year.  Last Saturday, our son showed up with  <drum roll please> a Stihl Farm boss and made quick work of it.

I had someone tell me they are known to be a problem oiling the chain. I've had no issues thus far. Your son seems a good solid guy based on his saw Big Grin

Thanks Dave.  TBH he borrowed the saw from his good friend and neighbor, but he is in fact a good, solid guy, and I could not be more proud of him!

The Farm Boss saws I've dealt with have an adjustment screw on the bottom. Flat head screw in a recess with and "E" over a line. Clockwise increases oil and counter-clockwise decreases it.  Temps and bar oil thickness can effect your oiling also.
The  044 Farm Boss my dad got in the 80's has a manual oil knob in addition to the automatic. Anytime we ran it with the 4 foot bar that was needed. Mostly for stumps and with the "Alaskan Sawmill" attachment we have.

Well this is what Mother Nature did again
[Image: BKKgzC9.jpg]
Rain turned to snow. But road temps were above freezing. Now it’s stopped. And Bob, AST Barbie, Mini Me and myself are all trying to decide on where to get lunch. 2hrs. OT. No complaints here though. But Bob is running his mouth about how Mother Nature is going soft. Don’t need him getting us on the S*#T list. STFU Bob.
