Didn't do a repeat from yesterday. Grinding away with my 1508.5's
The Adoration Deluxe performed the task of clearing away the whiskers. It's edge is tailing off a bit. So on the touch up shelf it goes.  Tomorrow my shave will feature some of my new kit that my wife got me. And also some stuff from a friend.  Good Christmas. Bring on the the new year.

[Image: mU9wGZ6.jpg]Simple shave tonight with a new to me soap.
CBL Barbers Hombre edition. Nice scent. Nice performance. I'm not good at describing scents. The has a nice one though. Medium to light strength. Kind of sweet to my nose. But not gourmand. The Clubman plays well with it. Lathers easy. Rinses off well.  I like it.
Touched up Robeson took care of bidness. No fuss. Up early at 0430 to take Step daughter and her husband down to BWI airport. They were visiting for Christmas.

[Image: mD2Xedz.jpg][Image: hN6G0zS.jpg]Didn't find the time to post the last couple of shaves. They were the usual fair. That is to say good. Enjoying my new soaps from friends and family.  Also enjoying seeing and reading about others new acquisitions.  I'm sure I am not alone in that I hope this new year is better than the last. But remember that no matter how crappy things seem. Tomorrow always holds the promise of better times.

[Image: DKL5HVh.jpg]Tonight's shave went well. My Japanese razors never disappoint. And I have decided to start off 2021 using my non fu fu soaps. As in no artisan. So on tap this shave was DR Harris Windsor.  The first DR Harris soap I got a long time ago was the Marlboro scent. That is nice as well. They are a very hard puck that I like to pre soak. Makes a thick stable lather. Solid performance. Bang for the buck it delivers good shaves.
Some of you may have made new year resolutions relating to shave products. As in not purchasing any. My resolution is much more practical.  I resolved to find new products I like and tell all of you about them. At approximately 0100 hours of the first day of this new year. I purchased two soaps. Reports to follow. Your welcome.

[Image: tArOCtu.jpg][Image: PMMCFGu.jpg]Tonight's shave was very nice. Carrying on with the non artisan soaps in my den. This one being the Italian Titan of shave soap. Cella.  This 1Kg of tallow goodness always delivers a nice shave. Having ADHSD (attention deficit hyperactive soap disorder) This block is several years old. I keep it sealed up in the fridge. Carving off a piece when needed.  The fancy brush did it's job well.
Whisker removal was achieved with my first new razor of 2021. The Schmidt and Company of St. Louis Black Star.  Those of you that know me. Have already heard me drone on. About barber supply razors. But hot damn, they are almost always great blades. This one being in NOS condition. Dynamite Extra Hollow grind with a blued tang. And gotten for a very nice price.  It required very little time on the hones to bring up the possibly original edge. To my incredibly high standard of sharpness.
I thought it proper to use an Italian aftershave. The result of the union of these items. A smooth comfortable no fuss shave.  Gentleman if you want a great razor for usually 1/4 the price of new Dovo. Start browsing the bay. Patience and a discerning eye will be rewarded.

The last in my non artisan soap group. The Deutschland demolisher. Tabac the legend. If you enjoy the scent. You got it made. This soap is everything you need to enjoy a shave.
The Towa razor has a thick heavy tang and spine. Still a really hollow grind. And since I talked about my love for the Yaqui, it got the call. Decided to face lather. For a change of pace.
Ready to head back to work tomorrow.
Have a good one guys.

This Paketa is my smallest razor less than 5/8th’s
Been many moons since I used it. Shave was just ok. A little tuggy. So onto the touch up shelf it goes. There is no tolerance in my house for a razor that does not effortlessly remove whiskers. The Cognac and Cuban Cigars soap and scent is very nice. And the Pitralon Classic pairs well with it.
