I was so impressed with the performance of Flying Hide, that I quickly ordered The Trail.. it is definitely one of my 'Elite' soaps.

I received The Trail yesterday but too late to use it for a shave. First shave was this morning. This is premium lather, for sure. It lathered quick and was able to absorb a ton of water. I could (and probably should have) added even more water. Very happy with the performance during the shave, and no complaints about post-shave either. An hour later, I feel no irritation. Scent reminded me of Myrsol Agua Balsamica, so I used it for my aftershave. I wish the scent was a bit stronger. Maybe a 4-5 out of 10. Sometimes the scent strength picks up after a few uses to we'll see what happens. Bottom line - a very good soap.

After 3 shaves, I'm bumping the scent strength from 4-5 up to a solid 6.

Sourav, how are your second and third impressions of BarrBarr? This is one of the next soaps on my radar because the scent sounds right up my alley in terms of barbershop. Did you also get the aftershave to go with it?

My second impression would be good as well. But this time I used alum so can't comment on post-shave.

This soap is very slick (but maybe not the slickest, but more than enough slickness) with luxorious lather.

The lather is in between B&M reserve and GD -> B&M Reserve gives me watery kind of slickness and GD the oily kind.

I don't think you will be dissapointed Jeff.

At the same time don't get your hopes too high -> you are already using top products.

But the scent alone is worth my purchase - this is definately my kind of barbershop scent.

Thanks for your thoughts. I think you and I have a lot of the same soap preferences so it seems like it would be a safe bet. So yay or nay on the aftershave?

No pressure Smile but hope you get it Jeff. I'd love to read more impressions of this soap. Thanks again to Sourav for bringing it to my attention.
I used it 4-5 times and was increasingly impressed with each shave. It creates a very rich lather and I really enjoy the scent.
