First go with a SE

Picked up a fantastic Alumigoose here on the BST forum,thanks wingdo and I have to say I wished I tried a SE a lot sooner!!
Loaded up a Feather Pro and after finding a angle that worked for me I enjoyed maybe the best shave ever in my life.Don't know if it was beginers luck or just one of those instances where you really take your time and are overly cautious with a new razor but I have never had a shave where I didn't have some small type of irritation(especially in the neck area).Normally I am a 3 pass w/touch up's shaver,but the Mongoose gave up a 2 pass with very minimal touch up's shave.I was concerned with the Feather Pro's as well being the love/hate relationship I have with their DE blades,but the Pro's seemed to work really well for me.If anything they could have maybe been a tad sharper,but I will trade that for the smoothness of these blades.
The only faults on the razor that I can think of are,the black really shows soap residue.Not a big deal since I always use a soft brush to clean up my razors before I put them away.
Second would be the weight,I know Mongoose makes a SS version of this razor but I didn't want to commit to the price of the SS without knowing if a SE would work for me or not.Over all I feel this razor is a keeper for sure!!!!
Side note:Soap used WSP Citrus Blast with Maggards Syn. brush,and followed up with Fine's Snake Bite AS

I personally find the first use of the Feather Pros to be a bit harsh and then they settle in. Will be interesting to see your thoughts of the next couple shaves with the blade.

I heeded your advice Doug about the harshness of the Pro blades.I passed the fresh blade through a soft piece of foam to smooth it out.Seemed to do the trick.

I have the AlumiGoose 2, and it's a fine razor -- mild but effective. Feather AC blades are first-rate. Enjoy your SE experience!

Quick update,shaves 2 and 3 just as smooth as the first.I think I have found my goto razor!!!

Glad to read of such a positive AlumiGoose experience. I may like the stainless steel Mongoose even slightly more, but the AlumiGoose 2 is simply a fantastic razor! My experiences with it reflect yours, WVHDRyder.
