Fine Accoutrements discontinuing even more scents

Fine Accoutrements announced yesterday to vendors they are discontinuing even more fragrances across all their product lines (aftershave, soaps/creams, and EDT):

TL;DR The scents being discontinued are: Fresh Vetiver, Lavender Pour Homme, Green Vetiver, Santal Absolute

I'm personally pretty devastated by the Lavender and Santal Absolut being discontinued. I loved those.
Good news though, I still have quite a bit of these scents in stock for anyone looking!
When they're gone, they're gone.

I’ve never tried any of the scents that are going to be discontinued, but it seemed to me that the Fresh Vetiver was a popular scent. Was it not? Was this the one that was supposed to smell sort of like Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver?

For my shop, it was the second best selling scent (behind Platinum). I've never smelled the Tom Ford version so I can't speak to that. It does smell great though, I'll miss it when it's gone.

Thanks Tommy! And yeah... I agree with you. Latigo is probably my least favorite of the scents so far. I’m honestly surprised he’s ditching the scents he is... those all seem to be the more popular ones. But I know preferences differ from person to person. If this is the direction Todd wants to go with his scents, that’s his business! Someone is bound to fill the void sooner or later. It also sounds like he’s changing Italian Citrus again...

On his roadmap foe 2021, he states:

“(Early March) The second wave of 21st Century Shave Soap scents arrives including Italian Citrus (with a refreshed scent profile)”

Alcohol was/is(?) extremely hard to get because of Covid and I'm sure sales are a great factor as well. The alcohol shortage is why B&M went to balms. Although I like sandalwood, I know it doesn't appeal to youngsters. He has other new scents coming out so all is not lost.

IMHO the point is the new formula ...
Much more water, much less tallow.
Waaaaaay less firm paste, and yield.

I have to agree with TommyCarioca, seems like a crazy move on some very popular scents. There was a strong run on Santal Absolut shortly after the announcement was made and everyone seemed to be out of stock. Thankfully, i found a place this morning that still had some (it's now sold out) so I at least have a backup. From a business perspective, I would think that a run like that on a particular scent would be a strong indication it shouldn't be discontinued.
