Those shelf units work so well for a while host of things. We have two of our closets, one in our library and the other in a spare bedroom, set up with side by side units. We also have 6 of them in the garage.
Lovely application here.

Edit: we used Very Useful boxes in the closet setups. We have lots of little bits of things... all organized effectively in Very Useful Boxes. We set them up years ago now and they've remained organized. That's saying something for us.
