since this isn't narrowed down to any particular product, like a soap, pre-shave, aftershave, bath soap, etc., I figured it'd be best to put it in the general shaving section.

admittedly I haven't smelled too many barbershop scents from our merchants, but I did just get a bar of Stirling's barbershop bath soap and a sample of the barbershop aftershave balm in a recent order that smells amazing!

who makes your favorite wet shaving barbershop scented product?

For me it's Barrister & Mann Seville. Just such a great mix of scents. Can't wait for the matching Tonique. I haven't had the chance to try it yet but Chiseled Face ghost Town Barber is supposed to be very good. Clubman Original is another one I like.

I haven't tried many different manufacturers, but as of now the pinaud clubman: classic, vanilla, musk and special reserve are on top of the list for me. I'm speaking of their colognes

Well .... I don't consider the "new" powder barbershops scents as barbershop scents.

Eucris - followed by Grafton.

Of the "new" emulations ... Mike's Natural

Edit. I forgot - duh. Of the modern versions I'd say American Blend - no contest

Can we have a set of defined characteristics for what makes a "barbershop" scent? I've been wet shaving for two years now, and it's a different answer every day.

My favorite "classic" scents would be PAA's CaD and Fine's AB.
