If his tobacco is a 8, foguere a 7, gea a 5, and the sandalwood seems like a 3.

WOW, I only have a sample of the Sandalwood but I would rate the strength at about a 7-8. Interesting you rate the Fougere at 7 as I would say mine is around a 3 but it does open up a little when lathering.

Hmm, this is just off the tub rankings. This is the problem with artisanal products, you can never be 100% sure what I have is the same as what you have. Even if there was a batch number it would be something to compare. Not sure if it's worth bothering Manuel about. I know sometimes you need to lather a soap to get it's full scent but this just didn't seem like it would be worth it and is probably worth more for me to sell unused.

EDIT: having another nose of this just now having not been nosing all the other scents I was received (8 in total). I know for my first impression my nose was burnt out. I kept nosing it all day but was also nosing the others at the same time. So I just want to clarify it's maybe not as weak as I thought when judged solely on it's own. Sorry if I gave anyone the wrong idea. The more I sit here nosing it on its own the more tempted I am to lather it up to test it fully.

As an aside, for those who have the Eufros formula do you find it's really easy to overload the brush compared to his past formulas? I limited myself to 15 seconds loading today but this still seemed too much and clog up the brush. Will try even less tomorrow to get this thing dialled in.

I find Manuel's new tallow soap to lather slightly easier, but I still load it for 30 seconds or so. I enjoy a substantial amount of lather when shaving as it helps me go through all of my soaps, much quicker. Shy

East Breeze is a lovely scent. Sweetly spicy, and lightly woody. That's how I'd describe it. It has a floral or vanilla note also.

Might I suggest that over the next couple days everyone that voted for two soaps change their vote and only vote for one soap as it seems there is a tie. Or maybe start a new pole of just the top three soaps so we can have a vote off over the next few days?

might not be a bad idea.

just so we can keep a record if I do start a new poll (the current poll would have to be removed), here's the top 3:
1- Fougere*
1- Rosa Bourbon*
2- Sandalwood

* denotes a tie

here's the actual breakdown before I deleted the poll:

All, I created a new poll with the top 3 scents, 2 of them were tied for 1st place so we had to do another poll. You're only allowed 1 vote this time and the poll will close in 3 days.

Please go vote again!

Any info Manuel can give on the scents like what type of sandalwood EO he is using and if the fougere is using fragrance oils?
