ETHOS Grooming Essentials A New Line

Wear some Castelli bike clothing tops on long run days (20milers) for the rear pockets and full zip. Other times overwhelmingly Craft, sometimes Odlo run wear summers, mixing in Nordic skiwear winters. In all cases, stick with Woolite and handwashing/handdrying.

Here is some "out of the box" feeedback for Dragonsbeard regarding the ETHOS line and I was wondering if anyone out there has had a similar experience.

Whenever I can I go for a several hour ride on my bicycle either alone or with friends and we all where those padded lycra bicycle shorts. This past year I purchased some high end/expensive Italian shorts. After I cycle I hit the shower and then a shave. Well after my standard 2 pass shave with an ETHOS soap I have plenty of lather left in the brush - what to do ? I take my pricey cycling shorts and jersey and hand wash them in the sink with cold water and the surplus ETHOS as the laundry machine would eventually "beat up" these cycling items. It works beautifully as the clear water gets quite dark with the lifted dirt. I hang dry the clothing in the shower and then when I wear them I smell like ETHOS - take your pick as it was whatever I had shaved with the day before.

So Frank ETHOS is not only hydrating on my face but it is gentle on thin Italian-made lycra and bicycling spandex.

Anybody else have any other interesting "off label" uses for ETHOS ?

DanLaw Of course I’ve used woolite on my merino baselayers but, you are correct, it’s my Castelli gear that gets the Ethos treatment. It’s gentle on my skin and the garments.  Maybe when Frank has free time he will consider laundry soap.

Laundry?  Dish soap for me.  Greenfresh dish soap.  Then, we'd be talking!

Although use Woolite exclusively for tech gear from Assos to Zoot, do know some tech wear industry people that swear by mild dish liquid soaps in very low concentrations, handwash and handdry of course. But then again they get free gear and only use items for a season before donating to charity. Some of my clothes have lasted 30 years, albeit becoming lounge and sleep wear in the process

So it looks like we identified a whole new demographic for Frank to target his soaps. What do you say Frank ? Looks like I'm not the only one out there - got free time

Ok Dish soap and Laundry soap. Easy enough and Lesser I will have to test in the Greenfresh aroma blend.

In fact I’ll need some testers, AJSharp and DanLaw you 2 can be the laundry soap testers and Dave in KY you can be the guy that adds some encouragement and a few laughs and Lesser you got to give me the approval on the Dish soap.

Everyone in this foursome gets a surprise gift.
