The ultimate base for the Melange Di Agrume is the Tallow Shave Creme for scent strength alone. I can also make it much faster than a shave soap as far as getting it out for release.

The Sandalo Artistico is first in line as far as what's next. I wanted to try and get it out before the move but things didn't work out. The good news is I've been infusing the Aroma Blend with Mysore wood chips and it keeps getting stronger and richer. There is quite a bit of authentic Sandalwood in this new blend. Both East Indian and a bit of Mysore for a bit more creaminess.

Kind  regards my friend
I'll take either the cream or the F Base. Hell, I'd buy at least 2 of each provided there's no citronella smell in there (I HATE citronella) lol I'm already looking forward to the next release of the DFS Colonia.

I'm also excited to try the shave sticks, and extremely excited for SA.

I'm glad you were able to find a new place on such short notice. I'm guessing the guy that wanted 5 years probably panicked about the uncertainty of the real estate economy and wanted to lock you in, in case we saw a dip in the future. On one hand, I can sympathize with him. On the other, what a dick move to pull the rug out from under someone at the eleventh hour.

P.S. I checked my pucks of Fine's dupe of AoS Sandalwood and didn't pick up any metallic smell. Just the creaminess. I'll have to search for a puck of the original again because now I'm intrigued.

Thanks for the input and feedback

Yeah the guy hit me up at the eleventh hour alright and I obviously wasn't to happy with him and let him know it.

I have not used Citronella in anything up to this point because my mind cannot get past the " Bug Spray " thing. LOL

DFS Colonia F Base is already made and will be traveling over to the new location with us and we will release that and the F Base Greenfresh that's also ready.

Ok so as far as the Metallic note. It isn't in the Fine Dupe of the original AOS but it is in the original AOS Cologne/EDP along with the Eucalyptus which is eventually replaced by the Sandalwood. This is not as present in the original AOS Shave Creme.  The one I'm doing smells very close to a authentic Mysore Sandalwood with slight nuances that make it it's own unique aroma blend. If anyone is a true Sandalwood fan I'm sure they will enjoy this blend. Fines Sandalwood to me is a nice scent on it's own but definitely a synthetic dupe of the original AOS which did contain some real Sandalwood and if I had to choose I'd go with the AOS over the Fine and I have both but that's my take on the comparison.

Kind regards and enjoy your weekend.

The only up-front sandalwoods I have are Fine and AdP Colognia Sandalo Concentree. I like Adp. No mysore is listed. Just Sandalwood. Don't know how that would compare.

I’m positive that the Fine is 100% synthetic but I’ll have to look into h to e ADP Sandalo and get back to you.

Mysore is the Creme de Creme of all the Sandalwoods and also rarest and hardest to get. It has a creaminess to it that no other Sandalwood has. It’s also by far the most expensive and the Vintage ones are extremely expensive so they are not going to be found in a commercial shave soap. Have to be custom made.

Hope that’s explains things.

Kind regards

While waiting for Frank to get re-situated and rolling stuff out the door -- and the Bay Rum to come up -- I'll confess to not being clear on the difference between the Skin Food Splash and Skin Food Lotion. Is the latter to be used after the splash, like a balm? In lieu of the splash? Or what exactly is the difference/use distinction? Thanks!

I've been wondering the same thing. The Skin Food Splash is the "Only" so called aftershave I ever use. I've been thinking about the Lotion, but so far I've stuck with what I know works.

Hi guys

So the Skin Food Lotion is a Alcohol Free shear lotion. Very light on the face and not at all like a balm. It takes longer to dry than the Skin Food Splash but it has quite a bit of skin beneficial ingredients in it. You could use both if you wanted and if I were to use them on top of each other I’d start with the splash and then while my skin is still a little damp I’d use the lotion. I in fact recommend applying the lotion on damp skin because of the Hyaluronic acid in it.

It takes a while to dry and the skin will feel a little bit tight to start but the. About 45 minutes to an hour later your skin will be baby soft. There are a lot of active ingredients in the lotion that address the dermis layer of the skin. A great combo is the lotion and the soon to be released serums for combination skin. My testers are really excited about that combo.

If you have any other questions please ask as I check in now and then.

Best regards

Thanks Frank. I do actually like -- maybe it's just a sensation thing -- a bit of alcohol as a post-shave splash so I might go splash/lotion and try that. But, now, what is "combination skin"?  thanks.

Good news on finding a place. Whew, you and the wet shaving community  dodged a bullet!

I vote for tallow cream regarding the Melange di Agrumes. It is a fresh summer scent made for a cream and for  use in the warm weather. We all know this citruses can be problematic on scent strength - that would make the cream a solid option.

BTW, I am hoping the first thing you do in your new place, is hit the Sandalwood, with a high sense of urgency.

I'm with you I like a little sting.. what really motivated me to include a Non Alcohol post shave product is I have a lot of customers out of the country that can't be shipped Alcohol and there are some US customers that don't like Alcohol. I went a little overboard on the skin beneficial ingredients in the lotion so it is a really good product to use or as I have done mix with the Alcohol splash on my face.

The reference to " Combination Skin "  is basically the new Oil based serums I developed for normal to dry skin or normal to oily skin so this new serum will work on most types of skin.  So most collections like the new Sandalo Artistico will have all 4 products in it. I'll post them below

I have some highly specialized serums, lotions and creams  coming out down the line which I will get into explaining when we are closer to releasing them.

I love alcohol in splashes. Use them for every shave.
But if you ever need moisturizing, the Lotion is truly amazing. I don't need it often bc of my skin type (Italian Big Grin ), personally, but a great option to have whenever it is needed. If you have drier skin, you'll fall in love immediately.
