Good news on finding a place. Whew, you and the wet shaving community dodged a bullet!

I vote for tallow cream regarding the Melange di Agrumes. It is a fresh summer scent made for a cream and for use in the warm weather. We all know this citruses can be problematic on scent strength - that would make the cream a solid option.

BTW, I am hoping the first thing you do in your new place, is hit the Sandalwood, with a high sense of urgency.

Tommy I agree..

The ultimate base for the Melange Di Agrume is the Tallow Shave Creme for scent strength alone. I can also make it much faster than a shave soap as far as getting it out for release.

The Sandalo Artistico is first in line as far as what's next. I wanted to try and get it out before the move but things didn't work out. The good news is I've been infusing the Aroma Blend with Mysore wood chips and it keeps getting stronger and richer. There is quite a bit of authentic Sandalwood in this new blend. Both East Indian and a bit of Mysore for a bit more creaminess.

Kind regards my friend

Regarding the shave sticks, here’s a vote for making a Fresco scented shave stick. Thanks

I am in no hurry, but I am really going to be bummed if I can't get a Sandalo set without resorting to some kind of sniping software. I also have no problem paying in full whenever you want to put it up as long as I can get both the cream and the splash. Good luck with your move.  Big Grin

Hello sir

You won’t have any problem getting a set as not only will I have it on my website but my vendors will also have the set as well.

The Aroma Blend will be available in 4 different products to start, The Shaving Soap, Skin Food Splash, Alcohol Free Skin Food Lotion and the Revitalizing Serum and I’ll probably add a bath soap, Shampoo & Conditioner bars moving forward.

Thank you

Been meaning to ask...
Is Sandalo Artistico the AOS/Fine scent?
Secondly, was there going to be another sandalwood scent, too?

Hi Matt

Well you may not have seen the post but another one of our fine soap makers came out with a Fine Absolut duplication and I hear they did a fine job so I guess you could say they beat me to the punch on that one so I turned my attention to making a Sandalwood aroma blend that compares to my Mysore Sandalwood EDT but without a crazy price tag. As you know a 100% Authentic Mysore Sandalwood shave soap would be multiple $100’s per jar.  So I had a plan on how I could accomplish that and so far it’s smelling really close to my goal. I will say it has a bit of the original AOS Sandalwood vibe to it without that strong opening Eucalyptus metallic note to it that the AOS had but it goes right to the creamy Mysore Sandalwood vibe part of what the AOS has but honestly it’s even more Sandalwood forward. To my nose it’s about as close to a authentic Mysore Sandalwood as possible without the crazy expensive price tag it would be.

I’ll post the Aroma Blend ingredients up as soon as I get this move behind me. In fact I’m just getting to work and having my coffee trying to wake up. Lol

Kind regards my friend.

I'll take either the cream or the F Base. Hell, I'd buy at least 2 of each provided there's no citronella smell in there (I HATE citronella) lol I'm already looking forward to the next release of the DFS Colonia.

I'm also excited to try the shave sticks, and extremely excited for SA.

I'm glad you were able to find a new place on such short notice. I'm guessing the guy that wanted 5 years probably panicked about the uncertainty of the real estate economy and wanted to lock you in, in case we saw a dip in the future. On one hand, I can sympathize with him. On the other, what a dick move to pull the rug out from under someone at the eleventh hour.

P.S. I checked my pucks of Fine's dupe of AoS Sandalwood and didn't pick up any metallic smell. Just the creaminess. I'll have to search for a puck of the original again because now I'm intrigued.

Thanks for the input and feedback

Yeah the guy hit me up at the eleventh hour alright and I obviously wasn't to happy with him and let him know it.

I have not used Citronella in anything up to this point because my mind cannot get past the " Bug Spray " thing. LOL

DFS Colonia F Base is already made and will be traveling over to the new location with us and we will release that and the F Base Greenfresh that's also ready.

Ok so as far as the Metallic note. It isn't in the Fine Dupe of the original AOS but it is in the original AOS Cologne/EDP along with the Eucalyptus which is eventually replaced by the Sandalwood. This is not as present in the original AOS Shave Creme.  The one I'm doing smells very close to a authentic Mysore Sandalwood with slight nuances that make it it's own unique aroma blend. If anyone is a true Sandalwood fan I'm sure they will enjoy this blend. Fines Sandalwood to me is a nice scent on it's own but definitely a synthetic dupe of the original AOS which did contain some real Sandalwood and if I had to choose I'd go with the AOS over the Fine and I have both but that's my take on the comparison.

Kind regards and enjoy your weekend.

Ok nice, I thought so. Just didn't remember the part about using the SA name for the different scent... All good with me. Thanks for clarifying!
