I’m lying in bed and about to get up so I always check all the shaving forums and groups I belong to. Call it habit. I check the Soaps & Creams and DE razors sections mostly on the shaving forums. Anyway there’s a thread over on another big forum asking how many soaps are using naturals and a couple guys mentioned ETHOS but didn’t provide specifics and another one had some of his info not quite right. So there’s some misinformation on what’s natural and not. So I decided to make a reference list all the ETHOS Aromas and Aroma blends that are both 100% Natural and the ones that are almost 100% natural but may have an aroma accord in them because there is no natural alternative . So when using the word natural below , it means the Aroma blend is made up of Essential oils or a combo of Essential oils, Absolutes, Resins, Hydrosols and in some cases my own natural infusions. NOTE: Some of the Aromas listed below have been blended and ready for future releases and these will be out shortly.

So I ask you if you are on sone of the other forums and you see misinformation about ETHOS please give them the correct info on the Aromas that ETHOS offers.

Thank you !

1. Lavender Supreme - 100% Natural
2. Succes- a blend of both Naturals and Aroma accords.
3. Melange Di Agrume/ 100% Natural
4. Lost Souls - 100% Natural
5. Tibu Saboni- 100% Natural
6. Mandarino Fumo - 100% natural with the exception of the Leather accord
7. Tonka Bean - 100% Natural
8. King Of the North - 100% natural with the exception of the Sea Salt accord.
9. Fresco - 100% Natural
10. Nuage de Citron - 100% Natural
11. Blood Orange- 100% Natural
12. Mandarin & Orange - 100% Natural
13. Greenfresh - 100% Natural
14. DFS Colonia - 190% Natural.
15. Peppermint- 100% Natural
16. Dragonsbeard- 100% Natural
17. Peche de Vigne - Naturals and Aroma accords
18. Sweet Lavender- 100% Natural
19. Sandalo Artistico- 100% Natural with the exception of 2 Aroma accords
20. ShaveMD - 100% Natural
21. Both Bay Rums - 100% Natural
22. Rendezvous - Naturals and Aroma accords.
23. Sakura - Naturals & Aroma accords.
24. Vetivert - 100% Natural
25. Bergamotto - 100% Natural
26. Vanilla Safi - 100% Natural
27. Ascelepius - 100% Natural
28. Mysore Santal - 100% Natural

So there’s the list of all the Aromas that I’ve done to date.

Great shaves!

As the prison warden (Strother Martin) in the film Cool Hand Luke says, "What we've got here is failure to communicate". As I likely am the poster on the other forum who "didn't get it quite right", may I respectfully suggest that you put the information set above front and center on your website so that others can get it right.

The issue is what is meant by the term "aroma blend" and whether that includes any fragrance oils or lab created scents. As I now understand it, based on your post above, none of your scents include fragrance oils or lab created scents with the exception of the leather accord in Mandarino Fumo, and the sea salt accord in King of the North. An "aroma blend", as you use the term, is derived from all natural sources and is intended to approximate a certain scent; an example would be the pineapple in Succes. If that is the case, I will be happy to go on the other forum and correct the record. Please confirm or correct my understanding so that I can act based upon complete and accurate information.

I am uncertain as to how to handle the 2 aroma accords in Sandalo Artistico or the accords in Rendezvous, Sakura and Peche de Vigne. Since, however, my post on the other forum did not touch upon those scents, I will likely quit while I am behind and merely correct the record as to Sucess.

I just want you to know that I was not coming down on you as your intentions were good over there. An you were not wrong in your post. The Succes is a blend of both natural essential oils and aroma accords or as some call aroma chemicals. Fragrance oils are mostly already made aroma chemicals which I don’t use. For example I know of 4 different suppliers that sell Creed Aventus dupes that are ready to go fragrance oils. With my Succes I built that from the ground up and it took me almost a year to get it where I wanted it as I was targeting the original batch of Creed Aventus which I’m a fan of and have in my personal Cologne collection. That first batch had a much stronger opening Pineapple note to it that has not been there in any other batch since the first one. .

I guess my problem is and not by any means with what you posted on that forum. Besides not being able to communicate with people like we can on here or another forum I belong to, it is frustrating to say the least I can’t interact with members over there.

What I I see mostly written about ETHOS over there is manly about old formulas from way back when I first got started. So very little about all the new formulas, bases, aroma blends and skin beneficial ingredients.

I posted up the list just so people know which aroma blends are made with 100% natural aroma ingredients such as essential oils, absolutes, resins etc. and when there is an aroma accord or more than one in with the naturals.

Oh and since switching formulas for the Sandalo Artistico Aroma Blend it now contains :

Organic East Indian Sandalwood Essential Oil, Mysore Sandalwood Accord, Mysoral Sandalwood Accord, Jasmine Grandiflorum Absolute Oil, Vintage 1960 Mysore Sandalwood Essential Oil, Benzion Resin Oil, Orris Butter Resin 10%, Myrrh Essential Oil.

Oh and no need to change or edit your post. The only thing Pineapple that’s natural in the shave soap is the Pineapple powder which is a good skin ingredient but has little if any effect on the scent. The Pineapple has you stated is a Pineapple accord.

Kind regards

Frank

Cino

Hello sir

Honestly no.. not even close to any Creed Aventus and I had the Fine Platinum because someone told me it was but after getting it I sold it along with the shave soap. So not close to any Creed Aventus batch that I’ve had and I think I’m on  my 3rd bottle. Also not close to Succes either. which is more like the original batch of Aventus but a whole lot less expensive lol

Good question so thank you!

Ethos Succes is by far the best of the Aventus clones. I can back that up by the near fortune I have spent on nearly all of them, due to my obsession with the scent. I prefer the bold pineapple note, and Success is the best of the bunch. In fact, there are several clones that specialize in the pineapple aspect, but are way to forward with that scent. Frank has perfected the balance of the fragrance notes better than anyone else, IMHO. Unfortunately, all of other stuff on my shelf may outlive me before I can use it up.

Thank you Captainjonny

Much appreciated. I’m with you on Aventus. I really enjoy the scent and the girls I work with at my part time job love it to. It’s their favorite.

Announcement of release!

Ok so the labels for the ShaveMD have landed so we are going to make it live on the website at 4 pm EST TODAY!
I’m sorry for the last minute notice but as you all know I’m moving to my new location so I wanted to get it up as soon as possible. I’ll be able to take orders starting today and shipping them until Monday the 25th till 3pm. Anyone ordering after that date can order but the order cannot be shipped until our move is complete and we are set up to fulfill orders.

So the ShaveMD is an F Base Soap and the Aroma Blend is made of Organic Italian Lemon EO, Organic Italian Lime EO and Ginger EO with a touch of Organic Green Mint Absolute. It is by no means a cold soap feeling soap but it’s very fresh, clean and refreshing and to quote Marks description, he referred to it as his custom made
“ Ginger Ale “ Shave soap and Splash.
Also what’s cool about the matching Skin Food Splash is it can be used with many other shave soaps as well. Especially any that are citrus forward.

As you know a good portion of the proceeds will be going to the Ronald Mc Donald House for Kids. It was Marks favorite charity.

Thank you Mark for your friendship, support and encouragement throughout the years and RIP my friend!

My order was placed and I had a note in there with my order for you Frank if you could check on it when you get time.
