..guess what...the yaqi closed comb scalloped head...similar head to the de89 but much better shaver in my opinion.

The 3one6 though is a big step up in aggression from the de89 by Edwin Jagger
..works very well....sometimes I find the handle too slim and not that comfortable to hold but I enjoy the shave....

The razorock lupo .95 however beats it in my opinion.

Thanks for the input and you said it all dead on lol I love this 3one6 among with my Karve & Charcoal Goods and it shaves even better than timeless it’s just what I find in my view tho..

This is 4th shave I had and my gosh just perfect shave even Gillette fusion won’t give me this nice smooth shave..

As per skinny handle I love it actually it’s very nice it’s something I prefer like when I had my CG Hammered SS handle was supper nice in hand feels great and with EJ blue aluminum handle I find perfect balance with it. Happy2

I also don’t find it aggressive at all it’s a perfect balance actually..

Very happy I been given this razor to me as actually I can use it and not collect dust lol.

I haven’t tried razorock Lupo 95 yet was thinking to get 72 Lupo but if it’s the same shave as on EJ 3one6 on 95 good to know I might consider it in near future...

Take care

I did not mean to indicate that the 3one6 was aggressive..i love the level of aggression and blade feel...was.just comparing it to the de89 and how edwin jagger has upped the aggression here..

I really do love the 3one6...In one of my shaves, i found the handle a little difficult to work with..It is a beautiful razor and I plan to keep it in my rotation for a long time ....

The lupo .95 ...you must try if you get a chance.........if you like the 3one6, you probably will love that

For sure I’ll keep my EJ 3one6 for long time as well in rotation I really like what EJ have done on this new razor and choices of colours of handles and finish is Superb can’t deny that.

Blue handle is gorgeous.
I'd like a DE89 head on it.

Yes my Feather WS-D2 shaves great EJ 3one6 gives nice close smooth shave no irritation also blade plays huge difference here as well..

I really enjoy my 3one6 and would highly recommend it  Happy2

Not as much as many believe. No blade can cut closer as the cutting height is set, i.e., static, in any given razor. The only way to vary that during a shave is pressure. The only other variables are hone angle and how well the edge has been hardened (sputtered & metals/alloys used on the edge).

Far more important than the blade or razor is the prep and quality of soap/cream used IMO. If you do those two things correctly then you can tell little difference if any amongst the best blades.

That's interesting...

You mention hone angle. I imagine, with each razor holding the blade slightly different, the angle the tip is honed might explain why some blades feel better in some razors compared to others. Is this the case, or am I putting too much weight behind this? Curious...
