I really wanted to like Shark because of it's badass logo but they didn't offer great shaves (thought still usable).

I prefer Russian blades personally but i'm curious as to everyone's views on Egyptian blades? Do you use them regularly, do you hate them?

I "like" Egyptian blades and at one time Sharks were in my top 5 or 6.  Then I, too,  discovered the Russians.  They blew my list apart.  Right now, my top 5 are:
Kai - Japan
Feather - Japan
Rapira Platinum Luxe - Russia
Viskhod (sic?) - Russia
Fresh Traditions - Germany

I use the lord super stainless, great blades for me.

I really like the Big Ben and Racer blades and do find them difficult to tell apart - no surprise given that they're both Lords.

Asco is another Lord blade that I get on well with though not to the same degree as they don't seem quite as sharp. Shark Super Stainless works well enough but there are others I prefer.

The Shark's are a good (for me) blade ...... but there are better options for your money - Personna is (for me) a better blade - longevity, sharpness & comfort
those 3 attributes are my criteria for a keeper blade.
Some blades I use sometimes, such as Treet carbons - I get 2 or 3 shaves and toss ..... cheap enough .....sharks are that way for me ...... use and toss!
The Personna's I get a week .... then toss! YMMV

Some of my best shaves are from the lord platinum and my worst shaves are from the shark chrome.
