Arrived in the mail yesterday; shaved with it this morning. Popped in a once-used Feather AC Pro, lathered up with Arko and got down to business. The result was BBS in three passes.

Compared to the aluminum Hawk, this puppy is more efficient and aggressive, and that's a good thing, IMO. Perhaps it's due in part to the additional weight. The finish quality is much better, too. In terms of performance, it's on equal footing with the much costlier Mongoose.

Kudos to RazoRock for producing a superb, reasonably priced stainless steel single-edge. Snag one if you can. At $60, it's a bargain.

I hate to admit I do pinch my self in disbelief of how good is the razor when shaving with it, 316L SS machined for $60... Not a perfection on the surface if that's one is looking for it, but fitment, performance and good looks for sure justify the price tag, one problem! Its hard to get one and Joe needs to bumps up the production, I can see my self getting one more but without the DLC for the sake of comparison and most likely will keep it.

Way better than the Mongoose. It works well with a number of different blades. It shaves really well without feeling overly aggressive. Fit and finish are way better than every other stainless razor with the exception of a Wolfman. At $60 you can't go wrong. I'd even buy another - razorock - if it with gets released with the same finish as the Mamba that is coming out soon.

I wouldn't go that far. The Mongoose is a slightly better performer, IMO.

The satin looks nice, but I think I'd also like to see it in the same finish that the Mamba will have.

I just ordered two, one for a friend and one for me. I love the aluminum HAWK, even with it's very light weight, so the stainless steel version should make a very nice counterpoint. Smile

I used mine twice so far. I wasn't so sure about it after the first shave, but now I know it's a keeper.
