I thought people would get a laugh out of this.
I mostly use new manufacture blades and my favorites are Lord Platinum, Nacets, and Rapira platinums.
I sometimes follow vintage blade auctions on ebay and never bid. But I did about 6 months ago and won some Schick Platinums.
I kept them aside and then one day I decided to use one. I put them in my razor and then started shaving. It felt very solid and thick and actually felt dull but worked really, really, well. I got a no irritation BBS shave and I thought that I should have used vintage blades a long time ago. After the shave, as I was washing the blade I saw that it was actually two blades stuck together. I had been shaving with double blades stuck together.
After a few months, I decided to get more Schick platinum blades and a few days ago, I used them. I wasn't going to be stupid this time and wet the blade and tried to see if they were two blades stuck together but it was just one blade.
After 2 days of 3 pass no irritation BBS shaves, they came apart and were actually two blades. LOL.
Today I used only one of the blades that came apart and got a really nice BBS shave with no burning.
