I've been a long time fan of Declaration Grooming. I've been enjoying the latest Milksteak base but believe that the scent-strength of these latest soaps are weaker than previous versions/iterations. I've owned Darkfall in Bison, Icarus, and Milksteak. Scent strength in the bison and icarus bases is definitely stronger than Milksteak. If this is the case, it's a shame because I really enjoy strong-scented soaps. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I think Scott said (maybe via a FB Live video) when Milksteak was launched that it was a "cleaner" smelling base and not contain any animal funk like Bison and Icarus bases do.  Thus, the smell should carry thtough the soap medium better without the need to scent the soap as heavily.  The base smells are one of the main reasons he did not offer unscented as he now does on Milksteak.

No, they smell the same to me. However, my Icarus base molded and had to be tossed.

My sample went bad of Icarus too.

The only Milksteak soap I have is Massacre of the Innocents, and the scent is easily detectable, though perhaps not “in-your-face”. I just did a side-by-side with Sellout in the Icarus base, and to me, the scent strength of both is about the same.
