Thanks Andrew and all for the posts! I found the slickness of that first iteration of tallow-free soap to be not quite as good as I was hoping for and have since improved it.

And as Freddy mentioned, I'm just now seeing if I can eliminate the lanolin without compromising performance so as to create a truly vegan product. That one is challenging and I haven't found a soap myself without lanolin whose performance I like quite as much as soaps that contain lanolin.

Hope everyone had/is having a great holiday!

I am way overdue for a follow up review.

I shall have something after the new years.

The B&M Latha line has no lanolin, but does have tallow. IMO, the Latha soap shaves as good as their premium line that has both tallow & lanolin. The best vegan soaps seem to have a boatload of some type of butter (shea and/or kokum) and many utilizing clay as well.

I am not a chemist, but I'll suffice until a a real one shows up. Tongue Wink

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
