So I got my first exposure to Declaration Grooming with the LQV scented option I just bought.

Honestly great soap! Harder to lather than WK or BM but not hard to lather. It’s super slick ... slicker than WK but has a little less cushion in my opinion. It’s another soap that’s right up at the top for performance.

Scent was awesome as well. I got the matching AS and it’s really great kit. Buy with confidence!

Good to hear you enjoyed it!

For me, Declaration Grooming is perhaps the easiest soap to load and get a good lather with. (Barrister and Mann and WhollyKaw are phenomenal, as well.) This soap can get a little “stringy” when loading, and I like that, because it tells me I’m loading actual soap, not just froth. Adding some water (little by little) during loading and lathering always helps to smooth out the consistency, and I’ve always had absolute first class lathers with this brand.

"Stringy"....mmmmm
Like bubble gum on the bottom of your shoe on an August day. Cool

Well put! I did notice the stringiness. When said it was a little harder to lather I only meant that it seemed to require working in more water that the others I referenced. Loading was super easy like you said with no annoying foamy junk.

I’m highly impressed with Declaration Grooming!

That I can understand. It can be a very heavy soap without enough water, but thankfully I’ve also found that it tolerates quite a bit of water. In that sense, the lather can be customized to a fairly wide degree.

I definitely notice the stringiness of Declaration (L&L) when loading, Add some water and go, but I've never had a bad shave and I'd put it up there in my top 3 with and T&S, HK

I love the lather I get from L&L/Declaration soaps. The in shave performance is second to none. However, I don't find the post shave feel to be all that great if I don't use some kind of splash, balm or what have you. It leaves my skin soft and smooth like most soaps do, but also pretty dry. Just my experience...

My experience as well. No doubt about slickness/cushion/comfort. But I don't get the great post shave people talk about.

Some people just have dry skin and climate/season/humidity factors in as well. I use an AS anyway so "face feel" is irrelevant to me. As well, being so damned good looking it's hard enough for me to keep women from fondling my chiseled cheeks so I don't need anything more to entice these vixens. Wink

Secretary Ramsey put his foot into it yesterday . . . in the course of his remarks he said that California “needs water and better society.”  “So does h-ll,” yelled someone in the crowd.
