Would love to hear your version of inspiring.

Declaration knots are good but not any better than eg Paladin knots. The handle design and craftsmanship are inferior and not worth any consideration. Totally hyped. My 5c.

Spoken like someone who has never used a Declaration knot.  Congratulations on your uninformed opinion. And based on the butt plug Paladin handles you wield, the discussion of inferior shape and craftsmanship is truly mind blowing. May I one day possess the same mental gymnastics required to utter nonsense on the level of your statements.

You say buttplug like it’s a bad thing? I’m so confused.

And man - you sure told him. Nice work.

For me the draw for Paladin and Declaration Grooming are the handle colors and shapes. I quite like the Washington shape, and the old Franklin for Declaration. Resin colors are more hit and miss with me for Declaration than it is for Paladin. Far better selection of handle shapes with Paladin too. One area I have mixed feelings in is the hair for both brands. I'm not a huge fan of it, but I do have my brushes I like. I enjoy my B1 Franklin, and would have to say it is the closest approximation I've found to Rooney 2-band Heritage, but Rooney is still leaps ahead. Even with that said, there's just something about that chunky Franklin boy I love and everything as a whole clicks for me. The 2-band Heritage isn't always a turn to to me either. 3-band Silvertip is usually my preferred grade, but I appreciate the differences 2-band Silvertip brings.

Paladin brushes with the knotcode 2CWHD5 and 2CWHE5 I have found click with my preferences. Even the ones that might be veering a bit too much into the areas I don't like don't bother me greatly, I just can't get the same enthusiasm going for the knots as others can. If we're talking handle material and shapes though, my lord I love Paladins! I have over a dozen, and have only used a few! They're simply intoxicating!

I have two DG knots. One B2 and one B3. Both Jefferson. You are just a fan boy shilling a product. Once you grow up and know more about brushes let’s talk again.

Scott-bots are busy this week. They all sure seem to be a charming bunch. Great brand ambassadors.

The difference here is that Declaration brushes are entirely hand made. Poured, turned, and knotted by one person. Paladin buys already made rod stock off the shelf, pre-made Chinese knots, and turns the brushes on a computer programmed CNC lathe. Which one do you think has more skill involved? I'm not arguing against the fact that people have different preferences. That's great, but when you figure in the price point, I think one of these is more justifiable than the other given what goes into it. Paladin does have some beautiful handles though, especially the ebonites. It's all a matter of preference really like basically anything in this hobby.
