I was in a hurry to shave before my daughter's high school choir concert tonight. I have been resisting using my B.Fri. purchases, including a new synthetic brush and B&M Seville in the new omnibus base. I broke the boar streak tonight, but I have no regrets. A super soft non-prickly brush lathering on that magical omnibus elevated a quick shave to a sublime yet quick shave.

By the way, the short haired boars are soaking in the fridge, again.

Hope that the concert is fun! I have 2 new synthetic knots calling for me to use! You are right, with the perfect soap, the shave is sublime. Much better than my tugging cartridge shaves with clumping or tacky creams.

Last night I used my Omega Mixed Midget. It is amazing how a brush so small can have such a fullness to it. It has a very nice presence on my face & it holds enough lather for my regular two-pass shave.

Tonight I decided to go back to the smallest in my den... The 22mm. I grabbed the 830. Now, this was a BST purchase and I got a good deal on it. It was already broken in and thus the tips were luxuriously soft. Today is my first shave with it. I am a bit worried it lost a few hairs (4 or 5) this late in the game. Hopefully it isn't a chronic shedder.

I decided to grab my Proraso homemade puck. A few easy swirls and I had enough lather for three solid passes.

As usual, I used my Henson TI. Today I decided to switch it up and popped a Nacet into it.

In the end, I'm nearly BBS and feeling good. Someone call halftime, It's DecemBoar 15th. [Image: 47fa64feb9ce060fb567cb58dfa0eb19.jpg][Image: e408d77c028df304887ed3acdba333c0.jpg][Image: 593033f0b892e2c3f525c45f4a932328.jpg][Image: dd0b7f5ae4357a151b2fe4063ce8e45b.jpg]

This is one of my two favorite boars. If I had to construct a boar from the ground up, I would choose the knot of this brush as well as the handle which fits perfectly in my hand.

Hey, David...is that the unbleached knot? If so, I think yours is the same as this one here. They've been out of stock for a while and I contacted the vendor and they have some on order. I LOVE the look of that brush!!! Heart
