I am happy' with my Astra SP's and Feather's. But, because of your informative video, I've ordered a sample of Voskohd's and Polsilver's.

Thank you, ShaveTank.

I have tried many different brands of double edge razors. From generally unpopular ones like Dorco and Derby to the ones that everyone raves about like Feather, Personna, Voskod etc.

Luckily my skin and facial hair isn't too picky and they all do their jobs without any complaint by me.

But only one brand I used so far I did not like at all. It was called Precision and comes in a black and red package. The blades say that are polymer coated. The whole blade must be polymer because that thing barely cut at all.

However, I'm aware that I might be unlucky and have gotten a dud. Still I'm in no hurry to try the remaining blades left when I have other great blades (for me) to choose from.

Neither have I. Any clues on the back as to who produces them or what country they come from?

According the Fendrihan website, they are made is Isreal. And the full name is Personna Precision Double Edge Razor Blades.

Hmm, I love the Personna Lab Blues but these Isreal ones are not for me (for now).

Gavo, that's interesting because I quite like the Israeli Personna Red Pack blades but don't care for the Crystals, which are also Personna blades made in Israel.  Go figure.

The Crystal blades are my favorite when used in a RedTip, vintage Tech or Merkur razor. I find them smooth and sharp - a joy to use. Otoh when I put them in an iKon Shavecraft 101 or in a SA84, the Crystal blade tugs and feels quite uncomfortable. In those razors I prefer Med Preps, Labs, Silver Blues or 7:00 yellows. Interestingly, those blades also work really well in the RedTip, Tech and Merkur. Go figure...
