Soap: B&M Nordost
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Ethos Blood Orange SFS

Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1289

I recieved a generous sample Of the Nordost from TheBurgh yesterday and so it came out to play today. Anyone that knows me, knows I'm a face latherer and only bowl lather when needed. This was an amazing lather and the scent is great ! What a great shave and a BIG THANKS to TheBurgh. I'll watch to buy or trade for this saop down the road for sure. Paired perfectly with the Ethos Blood Orange SFS and a silky smooth shave from the Asylum 17-4 with o-ring for adjustability. Have a geat day Everyone !

Great looking lather and a wonderful setup Dave... The THC handle seems to match well with the Orange theme.

I've seen this soap before... Is it a smokey orange or a dark orange scent? I get the feeling there's something more than orange and I've probably read a review, but my memory fails me (as usual).

I would not call it a dark orange Paul. It's like the warmed up or smoked the orange peel and have that scent according to the website. I get the orange and I guess it could be a little Smokey although I expected perhaps more smokiness. Still a nice orange and fantastic base. I'm happy to send along some of the sample to you as there is plenty?

Thanks Dave. Definitely not worth the postage as I probably wouldn't care too much for it. I was curious as I have tried the Stirling Smoked Grapefruit (as a hand soap), which is a strong smoked scent and VERY nice. Generally, Orange is lower on my list of citrus scents I gravitate towards. My curiosity got the best of me, is all. Lol.

Nonetheless, the info is greatly appreciated!

I agree with mrdoug about the colors in blending in your photo Dave in KY, plus IMO "Lake of Fire" is an outstanding creation.  One other thing:  For whatever reason, Nordost keeps popping up along my travels, and always in the context of being commended.  Despite loving the Omnibus base, I had shied away from Nordost because the scent description did not wow me, but it ticked over into my buy column when I read Dave's post post earlier this morning

Many thanks Dave.  You are generous, as always, but that ship has already sailed.

Another good shave, Dave! I very much enjoy your "style" of doing these. And "I spy with my little eye something new normally for shoes!"
