Razor: Gibbs Adjustable on 4
Blade: Wizamet (1)
Brush: Knothead Dragonsbeard
Soap: Ethos/Oleo Dragonsbeard
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Ethos Dragonsbeard
Fragrance: Prada Luna Rossa Black

So ever since Frank loaned me his Gibbs like a crack dealer giving you a start down a dangerous road of "I HAVE TO GET MORE" I've wanted to aquire one of these razors. I've had chances to get one and pay too much for less than stellar examples but passed. Boy am I glad I did and timing was on my side when this popped up on the BST in near mint condition for a very fair price. Complete with a handle by Claudio Clouds. Only issue is the little red ball is missing from the indicator on the dial ( I can live with that...................till I find out how to get a replacement installed) So this morning I wanted to have my favorite set up to have my first shave with it and a fresh Wizamet blade. Dialed to setting 4 I got a shave as smooth as I remember back with the generous loaner and "Dave in KY" is a Happy Camper. I'm velveteen smooth and smelling Exceptionally Resplendent. Onto the Guatemalan Coffee and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffin until breakfast with fresh sour dough bread and eggs. Have a great Sunday DFS !!!

Razor: Boker
Blade: ^^^^^
Brush: SV 2.0 Faux Tortoise Shell
Soap: Tallow & Steel Sicily
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Tallow & Steel Sicily
Fragrance: Amouage Sunshine Man

Today's shave was a nice and relaxing one that I told Ken Fluffy I would do stepping out of my normal routine. My Boker with the worked spine has always been my favorite for looks and shave quality. She only kissed me once for a little 1/4 inch stripe that didn't even bleed but I knew I had a moment of inattentiveness. 3 passes and I felt good but not the smoothness I require from my shaves and so a 4th atg was done with the 6s Plate 5. Now I'm where I want and can feel good about the day and smell great. I've done over 100 straight shaves over the years easily but this was only #43 since I started officially counting last year at some point. Long work day today but 2 packages in the mail with one rhyming with "Blackland Sabre"  Big Grin  Have great day DFS !!!

I have wanted to LOVE straight razor shaving for a long time and have done it enough to know that while I can get a 3 pass straight razor shave in the books without calling 911 or having a hazmat team come to clean up, it's just not for me. I can NEVER get as close a shave as I do with my SE's and DE's. My honing skills are zilch and while I've had friends to hone them for me I just don't get the zen of the maintenance and care to keep them going and don't want to rely on the kindness of others. Time to get rid of the couple I have left that I can let go of. A couple were gifts that I might make a display of for the shave den. I will pull out the feather or Weck for when I have an open blade itch to scratch and stick with the safety razors.
