Contacted him immediately upon learning he was the man behind the curtain. Getting a sample just to be sure it doesn’t light me up. Based on what I know of dfoulk’s knowledge of soap, expect him to expand my soap suppliers to 3!

So looking foreward to this!!!

You didn't miss much Dan.  I've been using and testing the soap daily for about a year now and I love it.  I've kept it quiet for the most part during this time.  I had a few people sworn to secrecy testing it here and there, but I just started selling it a very short time ago.  Around the time that you might have seen it show up in some SOTD pics.

In terms of the sensitivity thing, I know that these type of things can vary from person to person, so I can't make you any guarantee.   Our bodies are constantly changing and fragrances that we're fine with today might be a problem down the road and vice versa.   I do know that others with some serious sensitivities have reported that they've had zero issues with the soap in any of the fragrances so far.

Even the Christmas one that I did (which had a cinnamon fragrance in it) didn't give myself or anyone else any issues.  I tend to have issues with Almond Oil, Cinnamon and some Citrus and I try every scent myself.  If I don't like it, or it lights my own face up, then I'm not going to sell it.

Even if it lights you up does not necessarily follow will do so for others.  Just feel bad missed out on early testing.  As soon as try  a few shaves looking forward to buying.  In fact cart already has sop in it awaiting samples.  Christmas soap sounds interesting  Hope health and family well.

A generous friend sent me a tub of Cutting Edge. Tonight was first use with a Wolfman Ti 1.55mm SB. No preshave. No post shave. Very easy to whip up copious amounts of thick, slick lather. Fantastic post shave skin feel. Ultra Premium it surely is. Congrats dfoulk David...thas one helluva product you have there.[Image: 96882a767f927e4baa842c9b38130b0a.jpg]

[Image: 2PkzyZT.png]Well I have been using Cutting Edge for a couple weeks now and have to say this is a great soap. The lather is rich, slick, and has great cushion. The scent is warm & woodsy without being overpowering. I use the leftover lather to wash my face and my skin feels great for hours. Great Soap highly recommend

I haven't tried them yet, but people are saying good stuff about 'em. They're talking about how the formula is solid and it gives a smooth shave. Plus, some folks are hyped about the duck fat in it. So, sounds like it's worth giving a shot if you're into that kinda thing.

You responded to a thread that has not been updated in 4 years. The Cutting Edge Soap formula was an attempt at replicating a duck fat formulation from another artisan soapmaker. The ingredient list was identical, but the proportions of ingredients were not the same. I am not even sure you can still purchase Cutting Edge Soaps.

Having evaluated over 250 soaps, I have found that a number of artisan soapmakers have produced some absolutely wonderful soaps using a combination of both traditional and exotic ingredients. The technology used is not exactly new. Many of these artisans have been producing soaps for nearly 10 years, some even longer.
