I had to play golf on Sunday and shaved so carefully (with RR SLOC) so as not to cut myself. I succeeded. Only in taking the razor apart to dry it, the cap, razor and base plate slipped for just a split-second, and I got a big gash on my finger. Trust me, I'll be more careful from now on.

Never do this bare handed. Use a clean rag or napkin to grasp the ends of the head.   Wink

Most people think I'm crazy for this, but I generally unscrew razors by pinching it between the safety bars and, yes, that means the sharp sides. You get a lot more surface to grip on and far better leverage for actually tightening/loosening because you're pushing perpendicular to the surface rather than relying on friction from the sides.

I always grab the head in a towel and then tighten or loosen.
