So after one year of development Colonial Razors is going to release their new made in USA razor called The Silversmith. The razor will be made from 316 stainless steel and will have a bead blasted finish. They are rating the aggression as 6/10 and a very efficient and smooth shave. The razor is going into production so no timetable  when it will actually go on sale. I will predict not too long. Pricing has not been determined but don't expect a cheap price. We will just have to wait and see. This is a double edge razor. They will also make a V2 SE in the future.

I've heard great things about the Colonial General but it was pretty uninspiring in the looks department. Not bad but nothing to write home about. This one... Hmm

Every Colonial razor I've had has been a good shaver and I like the idea of a moderately efficient razor coming out.

Good luck with the product launch!

really like the looks of this one.

if the price is reasonable (not expecting inexpensive, but ~200 would be about right), I'm in.

If I recall correctly the General was sold less than $100. So perhaps 200 would be a high price. Of course this is not the General and prices for SS razors are not getting any lower. We shall have to wait and see.

Under $100 was for the Chinese version for the SE razors. This is made in USA.

I never come across a single review on General raising concerns on shave quality because it was made in China.

I had a Brass one which I sold off and still have the Aluminum one and they both shave superbly.

May be the manufacturer realized that he was selling General SE at lower the price than customers were ready to pay and hence there was a price revision later.

200$ is a high price imo for this razor. I would grab it if it's priced anywhere in the range of 150-175$.
