This is my second shave with the Colonial Razors CR7 (Black +++) using a Feather blade.
I got what I expected; an uneventful unexciting clean close one-pass shave, with very little aftershave alcohol burn.  I could shave with it again tomorrow, and I'm an every-other-day shaver.
I changed out the handle for a brass Star handle from the early 1950s, which I prefer.
I used a Semogue brush, MWF soap, and some Gold-Dachs Aftershave Splash.

So I finally remembered to post my thoughts on this razor since I've been using it a lot the past two and a half months. I was looking for an aluminum razor to add to the stable for you know, variety's sake and decided to jump on this one when it was released. I've tried aluminum razors before and never jived with any of them. I felt the light weight just never resulted in a smooth shave for me. That is until I used the CR7. I only got plate 3 because I wanted the most efficient offering. This is one of the smoothest razors I've ever shaved with seemingly regardless of blade choice. While it still feels mild during the shave it is surprisingly very efficient. This isn't going to thrill fans of aggression or blade feel, but for me I'm just looking for a smooth and comfortable experience. The CR7 delivers in both of those areas. I really think this is due to the blade being clamped from the top and bottom very close to the edge resulting in zero blade chatter. It is held rigidly and just slices through the stubble easily. I really like it and will be keeping it in the rotation for the foreseeable future. The price is good too. Definitely a nice value for a CNC machined razor.
