Hello everyone. Can anyone provide their insights and reviews of this soap specifically? Is the Lavender the predominant scent here! What is the strength of the overall profile? Would this be a decent choice for someone with sensitive skin? Thanks

Yes, the scent is predominantly lavender. It is the best lavender scent I have experienced. Scent strength is 7/10. I can't comment on the sensitive skin question.

Thanks for the response. Can you compare its lavender scent to that of Castle Forbes or Mike's Hungarian Lavender? Is it strong and pungent and straight forward like those scents are or is it more subtle and well rounded?

I find it to be straight forward. I would not describe it as pungent. Similar to Mike's.

IMO, it's definitely not a straight forward lavender. You can easily pick up the lavender, and it's quite nice, but it's also very citrus-y (mostly lemons) which made for a great mix. I don't think anyone can really hate the soap. It's quite nice and pleasant. Scent strength is probably a 6.

This opinion is only upon sniffing out of the Jar. I decided to shave with Cypress before this one, but will report any changes (if any) after tomorrow's shave with it.

Sorry to thread jack, but I thought I would just piggyback here. What do you think of Cypress?

Honestly, Cypress was awesome. It reminds of something so much, but I haven't been able to put my finger on it yet. However, to my nose, in the background while lathering it on my face, I got a close resemblance to Tom Ford's Grey Vetiver EdP. I could just be going crazy, but I had to use Tom Ford today after the shave!

wyze0ne cypress is great. Woody and smokey. For whatever reason, it smells clean to me. I own citron, cypress, and lavish. They are listed in order of my preference of scent.

I used Lavish today and it's almost identical to Larry's old soap called Savon No.2

I really like it, but if you are looking for a lavender soap, I would definitely look elsewhere. It's not the predominant scent here.

Isn't it funny how scent is such a personal thing! When I smell lavish I get almost exclusively Lavender. Perfect case of YMMV.
