From what I’ve seen, antiqued bronze just turns “aged” more quickly. Which is to say it just gets even darker.

I picked up the antique bronze with a 0.74 blade gap

I'd like to get one of these razors but have found the hoops one has to jump through to be extremely frustrating. There was a waiting list, then there wasn't. There were twitter updates as to when stock was added, and now that apparently has gone by the wayside. Now it appears one has to visit the website multiple times in a day in the hopes a few razors are listed for sale. It's truly mind boggling the way these are offered for sale they still have a demand this high. At lease Charcoal goods has a waiting list, the process is straightforward and explained well and Timeless has a staff large enough that they usually have stock on hand for order same day. You'd be hard pressed to tell me those two makers aren't making razors on a playing field as good or comparable to WM offerings. Again, I want one of these razors and would buy one if I could, but I find the business model extremely confusing, frustrating, and all over the place.

Timeless and Charcoal both make a great razor, but the fit and finish on the Wolfman, the polishing is on another level. All three are great shavers.

I agree - it takes FOMO (fear of missing out) to a whole new anxiety level. Who has the time? I'm sure some tech savvy person can set up some bot to alert them o updates to a particular website but again, who has the time? I've come to the view that if I want something and its available at a price I'm willing to pay, then good. If an item is not readily available or is priced outside of my budget then I don't want it. This constant checking websites is crazy - reminds me of the part in the short story To Build a Fire by Jack London where the protagonist keeps checking the rifle chamber to confirm that he actually is out of ammunition - maybe there'll be a round in the chamber this time? Maybe there'll be a razor for sale this time.

Maybe we can start an "In Stock" thread and get it stickied so that when one of us sees a hard to find item in stock we can post in thread.

Just sign up for email notifications on the thread and perhaps one day we'll all be able to acquire that special item that has so eluded us.

It may be a frustrating system but the current one still rewards the people who put in the most effort. As most things if you want something bad enough and keep trying you will get it. A little luck and good timing never hurt either.

Agree. Much prefer this system since everyone has an equal chance if they make the effort.

Good luck with that. The razors get sold almost immediately. Typically, by the time you check out the are Sold Out again....except for Monday. James must have been in a mood, they were available for maybe 2 minutes, then gone again. In fact, as soon as I checked out and saw them still in stock, I called a friend and by the time he got to the site...POOF.

I never, ever cared for his razors because there was no way in hell I'd be on a waiting list. Now that the system is equal to all, I'll play the game.

I don't own a Charcoal...I do have a Timeless 95 that I love. The Timeless is beautifully finished. I also have a polished Blackbird set and it is probably finished better than the Timeless. Neither are in the same zipcode as the Wolfman. The Wolfman glows, everywhere.

The one thing that impresses me most with Wolfman is that one, single, solitary man has the skill to eat stock and poop jewels. And he does it better than anyone in the industry.

I hope everyone who wants one finally gets a chance to make it possible. The quality and finish of these is extraordinary. I don't think I can sell mine. I paid a lot of money and took me some time to obtain them. I am somehow "emotionally attached" to them... Timeless and others are close, but Wolfman is the king.

Choose the right friends, mates. You won't have to refresh his website all the time. You'll be able to order as many as you can afford via email or phone like some members/ admins do. lol
