Ha, you are correct. It's an idea combining a few ideas people have given me. It's a semi-limited edition that's going to be colder and more bracing than our normal aftershaves.

hawns I used Fourth & Pine Toner today after a really nice shave using B&M Latha Sandalwood and the Ikon 102 with a Feather blade. Real nice shave and a great post shave conditioning treatment. I really like Fourth & Pine, I have to say it had some similarity for me with another of my favourite scents which is Caties Bubbles Midnight Dreary. I think it was Will (B&M) that told me that CB Midnight Dreary was inspired by Black Orchid which I think is Tom Ford although I've never smelled it. Whatever it is, I know I like it. Thanks

Huh, I really love everything I've ever tried from Tom Ford, so I'll have to try that one out. After looking it up on Fragrantica, I can see the similarities. Ditto for needing to try out that Catie's Bubbles flavor (it's been on my radar for a while, but he has so many great scents it's hard to pick the next one to try!).

But more importantly, really glad you like it! It was inspired by Farina's Eau de Cologne but not THAT inspired by it. More complementary than exact match, but they're nice to wear together. The relevance being that Clamorgan's at Fourth and Pine was one of the only gentlemen's grooming retailers in America to carry that original Eau de Cologne.

If you're at the Maggard Razors Meetup this Saturday, then come by the Chatillon Lux table for some goodies. I'll have some brochures and business cards...oh right, and free samples of Fourth & Pine aftershave, as well as bottles of Colonia Balsamica aftershave and salve for sale.

I will add this to the Recommended Pairing page right as soon as I'm finished up writing a message that I've been meaning to write all weekend. It does sound like a really good one, in that the orange and the incense/benzoin notes could have an interesting complement to each other.
