Hey Shawn, haven't chatted in a while, I hope all is well. I wanted to mention to you and to anyone else out there who may have missed out on the Chatillon Lux Pure Lavender Aftershave that Jon at Canadian Blade Co. has it in stock as well as the salve. I just ordered a bottle this morning.

Cheers,

Marko

Thanks for passing that along. I'm glad that finally made it up there.

Also, speaking of your land, I am also putting the final touches on orders for Italian Barber and Top of the Chain. Joe and Carmine both seem like amazing people who I look forward to working with in addition to Jon (another wonderful Canadian). I don't know what put (or don't put?) in the water up there, but you guys are the best!

Ha, ha thanks much appreciated but we're not all like that, I can introduce you to our prime minister Big Grin

In the case of Joe and Carmine you're dealing with Italian-Canadians who generally happen to be some of the best people you'll ever meet. Canada, specifically the greater Toronto area (GTA) has one of the largest populations of Italians outside of Italy - close to 500,000. I've dealt with Joe a fair amount over the last few years and with Carmine over the last 8 months or so and I've had only positive experiences with both of those guys. Jon at Canadian Blade has been excellent as well. I'm really impressed by the range of artisan products all three of these vendors have in stock and their service is exceptional.

That would make a lot of sense to me. I spent six years living on the outskirts of the Italian neighborhood (we have a fairly large population, although definitely not Canada-level), and I've never had anything other than the most amazing experiences with anyone on The Hill. In fact, that's what inspired Colonia Balsamica!

Will La Quatrième Ville or Omnostre be available as a shaving soap?

Also, I can't decide between these two scents. I do like a dark and smokey vetiver and also a woodsy smell. The descriptions between these two both sound so good but I can't imagine what they would smell like.

If you've ever smelled Encre Noir, then La Quatrième Ville is more along those lines. Omnostre is drier and cardamom forward, without any cypress or incense notes, so it's not as green or smokey.

Also, there's a pretty good chance LQV will be a soap. Omnostre will not because I will not be making shaving soaps of any of my fragrance line.

LQV as a soap will be awesome!

Shawn, is there a reason Omnostre is only released in EDT and not aftershave/toner? I tend not to use EDT so naturally I'm concerned.Smile

Yes, unfortunately it's just too expensive to be able to go in an aftershave, plus some of the nuances I don't think would come out at the aftershave concentration.

Here's an in-depth review of Yuzu/Rose/Patchouli for those interested. TL;DR: Deceptively simple, yet awesome.
