As of today I had seven shaves with my new L3 standard bar. All shaves were OUTSTANDING, especially with the Gillette Nacet blades, which were just PERFECT with this razor. I can confidently say now that regardless of the blade type, the CharcoalGoods L3 SB razor delivers for me THE smoothest and most efficient shaves. While my Blackbirds are still my favorite razors overall, the L3 is now the best razor in my den among Blackbirds, Weber PH, Wolfman, Paradigm Ti, Rx, General, and Sabre L2. I used to own BBS-1 and Timeless razors, but could not figure out how to get even remotely similar shave with them comparing to what I was getting from the BlackBirds.

The only other razor that I would like now to compare the L3 to is the Paradigm 17-4 SS. Once Phil has them in stock again, I will do my best to get one.

I don't have the Charcoal Good Level 3 SB but I have both the Level 2 and Level 3 OC's and I have the Paradigm 17-4 and it falls in between both as far as efficiency goes.

Example:
I did a shave comparison yesterday with a R41 vs Paradigm and it was pretty even as far as the end result which was a BBS but the Paradigm was smoother the whole shave through and it got there in less strokes than the R41 did so very efficient. My Charcoal Level 3 OC is the most efficient razor in my den amongst my many modern and vintage razors but without a doubt at this moment in time the Paradigm is smoothest shaving DE razor in my den.
