Here is my Charcoal Goods - Everyday Polished took me a week and so to get it done without rushing.
Main focus was under the baseplate to get rid of milling round marks which are hard to get rid of and lots of patience took to make it just right.

Top cap at the top wasn’t touched only at the bottom two round circles had machine marks and I managed to get rid of them without touching anything else.

Handle was polished at High Speed and turned out very nice.

I didn’t want to go too much on my GC and I appreciate what Brian Twilley has done his Craftsmanship to all of his razors are Truly Nice.

At least Everyday GC shaves really nice and no irritation at all.

After being polished doesn’t is shave any different or be more aggressive I don’t feel any difference nor that I can see so far.

Take Care & Hope You’ll like it

Shaves amazing no irritation actually better than my Timeless .68 I don’t know what it is? I guess there is a reason Baseplate is designed certain way by Brian to achieve that and he did.

I made 5 - 6 passes nothing zero irritation on my neck and no hair or stubble zero.

I’m thinking to trade my Timeless Ti.68 for Level 2 Charcoal Goods.

I do have my way of doing it depending on razors and material using different grid of fine sandpaper wet sanding etc..

Now getting rid of Teflon coating it can start from 800,1000,1200,1500,2000,2500 wet sand light pressure then polish with heavy duty dremmel tool using various bits and pieces with high quality muslin wheels not cheap ones..

To polish one razor material $45 cad cost me and nothing to cheap out on while doing it yet lot of patience and detail, I take my time and not being rushed on to get it done.

I been doing it for a while so for me I have many ways to achieve that mirror look finish.

I’ll make a nice video in near future  Happy2

Fascinating. Alan, how long (hours) would it take you on average to mirror polish a DE razor?

Ohh my gosh Charcoal goods took me longest for example 9 days in between my time to get it done just right. All that was under the baseplate needed lots of attention.

Lots of patience and time consuming.

For ex. Karve I can get done in one day very easily with razor stand.

And also depends on razor it self how challenging it is, design, shape, material etc.

But I give my 150% do my best.

I can imagine anyone walking into your workshop needs to wear sunglasses or similar protective eye coverings. Beautiful work. Love the base plate of this razor, which is made even sexier with the high polish.
