I think CarbonShavingCo. is likely missing out on some market share by not offering a separate head and handle option, personally.

The new options look a lot better than the original, but they’re still longer than I like. I was fortunate enough to get a return, so that was close enough to a head only option for me. I’ve used the original handle and it’s better than I thought it would be, but it doesn’t work as good as my Weber bulldog handle.
Pardon me for not being able to research things properly and as I pointed out in my previous post, "I could certainly be wrong here and it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong in my 58yrs!!", and I'm sure it won't be the last time unfortunately....
To the question in my previous post, is anyone willing to pay $200+ for a version of the complete head assy only or would you still pass on it?

$200?? Pass. $200 would not be a compelling price for the Carbon head in my world. Tatara and Seygus heads were 108 and 110 Euros respectively (shipped USA). Karve SS is $88. Timeless SS heads, approach that $200 ($155 up), Blackbird is $157 but the Carbon does not approach the Timeless or Bird in substance or complexity from my perspective.

I have a Seygus head - declined to purchase the short handle. I have purchased/tried a Weber Bulldog (cosmetic imperfect) and ATT handle. I have also tried a Goodfella handle. I may have a Guerrilla style handle coming (my 4th handle). Currently not in my razor rotation. The Seygus may go back on BST soon - with multiple handle options.
I did purchase the Carbon Cx razor early on first day. Handle and head feel perfect in my hands - balanced, etc.
Will I ever purchase a razor head only again - NO. I understand others will have a different opinion.
Will I purchase an excellent razor with less than award winning design - sometimes YES, sometimes NO.

Many of us have used the stock handle and found it not only not perfect but something we know we'd swap out (as I did). That might be fine in an $80 razor from IB but this is not that.

I would never pay that kind of money just for a razor head when there are other very good options.
You mentioned, earlier, if the $30 - 40 would be worth the saving and, for many of us not living in the US, this would greatly help out when considering the shipping costs and import duties to our respective countries, as well as that saving, potentially, going to a handle that is more to our liking.
Really, all of this is quite trivial, because if you enjoy any razor and if it provides you with a great shaving experience, then that is what is most important.
