Hats off to Carbon Shaving - I have never seen multiple products given for a pass-around before.

agreed, aside from the seygus pass around we did on DFS a few years back, I don't recall seeing too many artisans/manufacturers passing around 2 of their prototypes/items for us to try.

I agree 100% what you just said, but (there's always a but)
He is not donating his razors he will get them back.
By him using 2 razors he is getting free advertising, smart move on his part. Also the guys that are using the razors do need the time to test them out.

to be 100% clear, CarbonShavingCo. is donating the razors back to DFS when the pass around is over with so we can raffle them off and put the funds back into maintaining and running the site. that's what the folks at Carbon wanted and we'll certainly do it.

oh..we'll remove you from the list! go be cranky somewhere else..

Andrew, the razor is on its way to gregcss. So you can remove me and keep him. I'm planning on writing my full review tonight.

Please move me down a couple of slots. It looks like my current spot is up during the week I’ll be moving.

Hey guys! I used the Cx for about 4 shaves. I'm a daily shaver, 2 passes, one WTG another one ATG + any required clean up. I tested the Cx with the 7 o'clock super stainless and Voskhod blades. My current and favorite razors are in order or preference: RS-10 mild, Sabre L2, Timeless Bronze .38, Timeless Ti .95 SB, Rex at 1.5 and gen 1 CG L2 SB.

I found the Cx to be fairly blade forward and I unfortunately do not get along with these types of razors, the Cx was no exception. It's not as blade forward as the BB, but it still proved to be too much for me. I ended up with lots of nicks and just didn't find the shave comfortable.  I managed to do a shave off with the CG and my findings were that the CG was more comfortable (probably due to the smaller blade exposure), and more efficient. Given the positive reviews here and everywhere else, I won't say that this is a bad razor at all, I just think that it didn't work FOR ME. I won't comment on pricing since that's something that everyone can decide for themselves.
Carbon sent out a new razor and I do think the finish was better than the previous one I had received. See the pictures below, the new razor is on the right.
Many thanks to Carbon for allowing us to try their razor!

I now have 7 shaves in and thought I would try to give my impression of my whole experience:
Packaging - I wouldn’t change a thing. Unique and different
Finish - polishing is good to very good, it is a step below Timeless ( same price category) but on par with Blackland (slightly less expensive)
Handle - if you could add about 3 mm tapering on each side toward the middle of the handle it would add a little more grip. I personally love the handle but others I have shown it to think they need a little more grip toward the middle.
Balance and weight - Spot on for a SS razor.
Maneuverability- Excellent design and easy to use
Face feel - it is not my smoothest razor but it is definitely on the smoother side, no chatter at all and when you hit the sweet spot there is minimal blade feel. I would give it a score of 8/10 compared to all the razors I have.
Efficiency - Easy 3 pass BBS and sometimes 2 pass with minimal touchup. I am very happy with this level. I put it a step below my highest efficiency razors, but I can’t use them daily. I think you have hit the target on balancing smoothness and efficiency so that it can be used as a daily shaver or can tackle a few days of growth without a problem.
