I got a heavy duty sewing machine about a year ago. I've made some bags for camping equipment and such, but the real purpose was to learn to use it well enough to sew a new bimini for my sail boat. So far I haven't worked up the nerve to try a project that big, but it looks like you've come up with a great idea. I agree that if you make them to customer specs you'd likely have no trouble finding buyers.
