When I got into this “sport,” the Tradere was becoming unavailable, as I recall, so I didn’t spend much time studying it. Shane, I agree with your “aggressiveness/blade-forwardness” ratings for your razors, with the Blackbird ahead of the Dart, and the Dart ahead of the Sabre L2. Where do you think the OC will land?

I did a side by side Shave Off with both my Charcoal Level 3 OC and my Wolfman WR1 .94 DC and it was more efficient than the CG L 3 and dead even with the WR1 so it’s very efficient, has great balance and is very maneuverable.
It would be great if some owners of original 1st and 2nd Gens can do some comparison shaves with various razors to give people and idea how they compare to some favorite well known razors leading up to the release date of the new Blackland/Tradere razors.
Shane I’m glad you decided to do a high polished finish on them. The 1st Gens head is high polished so the glide is great!

Ive read great reports about how the original shaved. Plus always felt the
head design was striking and very cool. Although I wish
they would reconsider putting TWO brand names on it.
Someone on another site suggested the msrp will match blackbird and I had to
disagree...I think price might be knocking up against wolfman basic finish levels.
But I dont have the inside track on matters like these.

I have the Gen1 OC and have loved it since getting it a few years back. I paid a premium for it on EBay but it was well worth it. I am so excited to get an SB this time around and so happy that Shane is going to be making it. This is a great time for the wet shaving industry. I think the 2 most sought after razors were the BBS-1 and the Tradere OC or SB. James started making a better version of the BBS-1 in the WR2 and now Shane is bringing back the Tradere. Knowing Shane’s work, he will do an outstanding job on the Tradere!! Love that he will be offering the handle polished just like the head. I love the Tradere handle but never use it with my Tradere head because it just looks odd to have a polished head and a brushed handle. Just my opinion folks! Anyway, congrats to Shane for making this happen!!

I've got a 1st gen OC, # 012, and a 2nd gen SB, # 316. I don't know that the plates are interchangeable on the originals ... might be, I've never tried it. I do know that the write ups on the history say that there was a change in the geometry of the 2nd gen from the 1st gen. One way or the other, great shavers. I wish Shane was doing a 2nd gen 0C, I'd like to try one to see how much different it is from the 1st gen OC.
