Got this off Blackland’s FB site and it pretty much explains things. Now this is a release I’m excited about!

A few years ago like a fool I let someone talk me into selling my 2nd  Gen SB and just recently I had a chance to pick up basically a new in the box 1st Gen OC and it is in my opinion one of the best shaving razors I’ve ever used so now I’ll get to get a 2nd Gen SB back in my den.

From Blackland and Shane:

After five long years, Tradere is back in a big way. I’ve spent the last year working with Tradere founder Richard Mason to bring these iconic razors back into production. This fall, Blackland is picking up where he left off with the return of the Gen 1 OC and Gen 2 SB.
.
Join me on Tuesday at 5pm Pacific on Facebook Live where I’ll be discussing Tradere at length and answering your questions.

Can’t wait! The Tradere is one I missed out on, it was already out of production when I entered the game. I guess I’m going to get a second chance!

I wonder if it will have the same handle design as the original

Shane just confirmed plates are interchangeable...great news for us.

Wonder if this announcement will hurt the value of the original. Glad I didn't collect those.

I can see where it would be a concern. I suppose missing out and not being willing to pay up...paid off.

If anything, this might increase the value of the original. Now that anyone with enough money can get one, there will be interest in getting an original just to compare it against. Besides, I am not sure of the licensing agreement, but pretty sure that Blackland cannot use the Tradere trademark on the bottom of the base plate.

It will. I'm doing this one as true to the original as possible. The handle will have improved knurling and will likely be fully polished unlike the original, but the design is the same.

I'm free to use the Tradere mark as I wish (pretty much). These will be marked both Tradere and Blackland on the base plate.
