Does your handle have marks and such?
Thanks for the heads up on these razors, by the way.

Dang Keith, that is bad all the way around.  The tipping is excessive compared to my Jet but the Jet still has plenty of play.  The crater and the machine marks look bad too.  It looks pitted in the valleys?  Is that supposed to be the polished BB?

Yes,  it's the polished version, it doesn't seem like the price point that they sell for.
I'm not OCD but sometimes these things bug me I think quality should be better.

Damn. My condolences. That is $500 in hardware....I would be smoked. I'm sure Shane will make it right but damn. Kinda glad I have sat this one out.

Thinking about the play and the loose fit of the stand ... if it were machined to correspond with the curvature of the bottom of the handle it would fit quite well regardless of the diameter of the inside of the stand entry hole.

That would probably work. The handle has just a small flat spot on its bottom.
When I had a Vector stand the BB seemed to fit that one good, it was taller , to the best of my memory.

Yeah, I remember before seeing someone had an ugly handle that got replaced.

No excuse for a handle to be shipped with any faults, the high price of a top tier razor should guarantee that what you are getting is in perfect condition.

Whoever put that razor handle into the box and packed it up must be blind. Quality control is from start to finish and I expect everyone who touches that razor at all steps of its manufacture to be able to pull it from production if they see or feel an issue. If whoever was last to touch the razor had to put their name to a card included in the box then that razor would not have shipped.

And yes, it won’t take long to get a replacement but that’s not the point.

I don't mean to make light of it at all, I would also be upset of I didn't receive a razor / handle that lived up to the pricetag. Hopefully Shane will take care of it quick.

However, when I see that handle up close all I can think is it's missing a zipper-pull. Those ridges along the edge look like teeth, in that picture.

Perhaps that's the best that can be done with said intricacies? I don't know, I definitely have no experience in metal work.

The divot is definitely small, so I can absolutely imagine someone missing it. However, Shane's there to cover said errors (I hope). I'm hoping it all works out for you in the end keto

Lol that's a funny picture, the new zip razor!
Hey around me, I'm always up for a laugh.
At a distance one can't  see most of the imperfections on the handle.

How does the Blackbird look in the WRA2 stand? I have a Wofman and polished Blackbird and debating sharing the stand. Thanks
