Hi Guys,

I'm currently on the Wolf Whisker wait list. When my number is called, I plan on ordering a 25 mm Fan Black Wolf brush but I am struggling with my loft choice. I already have a 30 mm tuxedo brush set at 57-58 mm and I've ordered a 30 mm Maggard Black and White brush with a 63 mm loft. I can't decide between a loft of 52 or 54 mm for the Black Wolf. Does anyone have any experience with the Black Wolf knot in that loft range?

Thank you

I don´t know how WW's list goes, but if you can, and funds permit, get one of each and then sell what you like the least. With scarce and sought after items like WW, chances are you will end up paying very little for the chance of trying yourself.

I believe Peter Wolf has a 1 brush per customer policy.

Good choice with the Black Wolf. I have a 24mm Bulb Black Wolf. I believe Peter recommended 52-53mm loft - which I ordered. Happy with the knot for softness and face lathering.

I would ask Peter. I do think you loft is in a reasonable range.

I don't think so.

I just got my 25 mm black wolf fan brush a week ago. Mine has a 56mm loft and I couldn't be happier with it. It splays really well with the right amount of backbone, without feeling springy. I think 52mm might be too short imo. [Image: c923cfa857fe13f220549f8563cb6ff0.jpg]

That is a lovely brush. I'm leaning towards a 54 mm loft. What do you think?

I think you'd be fine with a 54 mm. You'll love this knot. It's dense, but not overly so. The tips are noticeably softer than the original plisson style. I have the razorock 400 and it's so dense that I feel I really have to mash the brush on my face to get it to splay well. And that brush has a 57mm loft. That's not the case with this black wolf fan. I hope you enjoy your brush as I have mine. Peter's communication is great if you have questions. Good luck!

I placed my order last night. I went with a Pi Day handle in Moon Java with an "original" 25 mm Black Wolf knot set at 54 mm.
