I'd have to say it's the Gillette Red Tip, at least as far as shaving goes. There are some others that are more interesting or rare, but the red tip shaves the best in my experience.

It's sharp and it cuts. I like it...

This thread needed a revival. I don’t know if the RFB is King but, I will say that Gillette got it right nearly a century ago with this creation. In My experience and My humble opinion, it’s the best Gillette razor I’ve ever shaved with. There are many great Gillette’s out there that could fit the bill as the best ever, this one though is the Pinnacle of shaving tool greatness in my book...

The handle is an aftermarket RR UFO handle. The razor was gifted to me by one of the great gents in this forum and one that I am honored to call my friend, Frankie or as most would know him as Dragonsbeard. A true class act but, more importantly an even better human being.

I owe you one Frankie.......

Gus, I couldn't agree more with you!! I didn't know we shared the same love for the Gillette RFB. I believe that the Best Vintage is a RFB as well. My British new #44 is such a special vintage razor, and I still can't believe that Gillette got it right 87 years ago! What makes the raised flat bottom special to me is it's Shaving performance, the Design and the Workmanship. There's something that I can't put into words when I use the RFB. It's when a razor has the perfect blend, where balance of Smoothness and Aggression perfectly complement one another. The RFB hits all the marks for me in a vintage razor.
