While all of us would like things to be perfect in our world that is not always the case. Unless a merchant is deliberately going out of his/her way to deceive then I have to wonder what you are upset about.
Over the years, much to my chagrin, my sense of smell has deteriorated. This is not all that uncommon. Does it frustrate me? Of course. However, I understand that things change, especially the sense of smell.
If you felt so strongly about this then why didn't you send
Barrister_N_Mann that sample? Will seems to have always been an upfront merchant and I think he would have gotten back to you with his findings. As it is, he has offered to repay your costs, even though that is not something he has to do. Perhaps it is time to say that, sadly, this has come to closure and not where it should have.
