I bet it would work. I do the opposite since I already used up my Lavanille soap - I use Mystic Water Cuppa Joe soap with B&M Lavanille aftershave. Works great for me.

This just occurred to me, and knowing very little about fragrances I'm rather curious, has Will ever made an Oriental? He's done Fougères and now a Chypre (soon to be two), but I can't think of any Orientals.

I read in the description that your dad was the inspiration to the original Latha with absolutely no plans to expand.  I know you mentioned in a comment that things change or something to that effect.  However, how does your dad feel about the new scents?

He likes them quite a bit actually. Oceana is his new favorite.

Is Oceana still his favorite or has Taiga moved it over?

If Rhapsody was inspired by PdN New York, that would count as an oriental potentially, though I don't remember a vanilla/amber base being noticeable in Rhapsody. I could be wrong about that for sure. Speaking of, a soap inspired by Habit Rouge would not be a terrible thing at all.

Oh my, I posted just moments too soon, as I just got the Night Music preview email. Partially inspired by Shalimar: methinks an oriental cometh! Sounds great, Will. I'm looking forward to it!

(Also, if you're using civetone and other dirty musks, this may cause the feral affections Leviathan prompted in some of us. Respect!)

I'm honestly not sure. I know he likes them both a great deal.

I'm sold on Night Music and will be sure to buy it as soon as it releases. It's going to sell out like LGC did I bet.
