Good day gents. I have a handle being made that I've wanted for a very very very long time. Naturally I want a great knot in it. Since I can't get a ht1 or b5 set in it what would be best? By best I mean soft with gel, must gel. So far considering between maggards shd or turn and shave tip knot. There is the b8 but I've heard it doesn't gel much and I need zero scritch (sensitive skin). I have done a few successful transplants so if anyone has a b5 with a cracked handle or something they'd sell for cheaper or knot price, let me know. Otherwise what are your thoughts on a gel monster knot?

If I were you, I would put something like an SHD or Shavemac knot in it temporarily. Then, when the next B5 or B6 comes around (if ever), pull the knot and have Scott knot it.

I'd add another name for your consideration. Envy Shave. I have two of their Luxury Silvertip badgers and they are totally gel tips. Softest brushes I've ever tried. I put one in a custom handle and another in an Alpha T-400 handle. Definitely my favorite of all my brushes.

I like that idea, thanks.

Doesn't envy have the fanchurian or was that someone else?

Not that I'm aware of. They have the Luxury Silvertip and the Envy White Supreme. They also have synthetics. The fanchurian must be someone else.
