I have an Evolution from bg's shop; its alright. From my Intel it was designed to be faithful and mimic the orig as close as reasonably possible and not an improved version. A machined finish is a machined finish, cool. But the sharp, unbroken edges all over the razor were unacceptable. The comb teeth were that, f'ing teeth! Like hockey skate blades. Forget blade feel.  I like al dente, not in my razors. I deburred and smoothed the entire razor with a craytex and muslin wheels and its now very smooth on the face.

But,

Why not cover the blade tabs? I got a lot of stray, collateral cuts on the ear lobes
Why not use extra posts to center, locate and lock down the blade? Only uses the handle post.
Why not add one more tooth (fang) on each side?

I understand faithful, cool. Eccentric, yeah. But take the opportunity to Evolve the razor with "your" signature. The original is extinct, Dodo. Use this chance to breed in captivity a hybrid of superior genealogy and legacy. Don't be penny wise, pound foolish. It did not Evolute. Big FAIL!

If you always do what you've always done you will always get what you have gotten.

Just sayin
