I'm not even going to post this in the acquisition thread because it's kinda goofy. I get these weird ideas. That's all I can say.

I was thinking about my second wall shelf for brushes. It holds nothing but boar brushes (my original is all synths, and mostly Trotter Handcrafts). I decided, on a whim, I wanted a little wooden carved Boar to adorn the shelf along with the brushes. So I scoured the interwebs today and found a good deal on this hand-carved figurine. It's about 3" wide (or is it long... Head to tail), so not large but still visible.

I hope it looks good on the shelf. I also hope I seek the mental help I truly need. [Image: 058c1add59b5a4d3fb40d4dace351db2.jpg]

Lol. You even linked to 'Doug Fir'. Hilarious!

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I already have two shelves. However, the room is standard with FOUR walls. Hmm.

So I've been looking for all of the sales, cataloging all of the deals in the Black Friday thread (I'm so sorry admins... I know I have like 6 posts in a row). Still, I've managed to be very good. I've only bought ONE thing... A Pinnacle Soap from TRC.

Excited to finally try this brand. The scent sound up my alley. [Image: 15e756bef787979ae333ef02e63b8cda.jpg]

Well, I received my Pinnacle Classic Cola today, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I also successfully set the G5C brush in a Handle. I wasn't planning on putting it here, but it got too excited to try it to wait any longer. Finally, I broke out the Winning razor again, which did quite well on the first run through.

A few observations:

The Winning razor is supposed to be, by stats I've found, milder and less efficient than my Henson TI Medium. However, I don't know that it is. For me, it has more blade feel and more hair cleared on each pass. It defies what I've read. At the end of the shave, I feel like I didn't get as much cleared, but then again, it doesn't have the quarter turn for clean up like the Henson... It just clamps dofferently. Also, that suction feeling others have commented on is something real and odd. I must say, ATG it does shine though. I have enjoyed that pass in all of my (admittedly few) shaves, so far. It's a good backup razor, but won't dethrone the Henson in my book.

The G5C... I can see the comparison to the 2BED, and why Andrew would call it the replacement. Oumo isn't making the 2BED... he had to get 'something'. Still, other than it being a fan and looking quite similar, the brush is different. Had I not heard it was the new 2BED, I would probably have liked it more on it's own merit. It does NOT splay as well, being a bit tough / springy for a fan knot. Definitely not like the 2BED. Still, my first run with it was good... On its own merit without any relation or comparison. That said, how dare you Oumo! Lol.

Finally Pinnacle Classic (Coca-)Cola. My next job, or side hustle as they like to call it, has to be to import some coca-cola to Sicily. Seriously, I've been to Italy, I have family there. I've drank Coke in Cervinara. It wouldn't be that far of an 'import', and then Pinnacle could smell what they obviously have never smelled before. In all seriousness though, it was an ok scent. Nothing horrible or offensive. It's just a kinda funky deeper/darker smelling bastardized version of club cola by Wickham's... But not cola to my nose. Ooh well, can't win them all.

Hey Monday is over, we got that going for us, DFS!

I couldn't resist! I swear...

I hopped on Murphy and McNeil to see what's in their used marketplace this morning. Saw a gently used butterscotch SOC Boar for $35. With a coupon code I got it for $31.50. I believe that's an awesome price for an SOC, and I needed a butterscotch brush still in my collection.

Just need to figure out where to put it. Ugh.

Happy Tuesday DFS![Image: 59690e828672f8f265ab25bc4e75e596.jpg]

Great score...I love the butterscotch! I also have a used SOC boar, but in the Taj resin. The handle is of solid weight and a great design that feels just right in the hand. And the knot is unbelievably soft. Enjoy! Happy2
