Well today the SOC in Cherry arrived. I am happy to report it looks fabulous, without any visible issues I can see. I'm very happy with the deal I got now.

Times to soak it up and break it in. [Image: 2812d6f9c43fd4105cd7f83c5e9e42bf.jpg]

So this evening I decided to break out the omega-20102 early and get a shave in to see if I could possibly recommend it to Eric MaineYooper , who I believe posted that he didn't have an omega in his lineup.

Now this brush has had only a handful of test lathers since I got it, Friday. It's fairly new and thus quite stiff. The tips are soft and it still held a decent amount of lather. Unfortunately, as it was not yet broken in, I balk at saying, "you gotta try this brush" until I really feel that way. Sorry bud. I do hope it breaks in and I can nudge you in that direction, as it is an awesome value... If it does a decent job... Time will tell.

It was time for a new blade so I popped back over to the Henson TI and a new Personna. I also took the Razorock quad milled puck for a run (that's what I believe it is... That's how the 'What the Puck' predecessor was billed). It's a pretty good soap - great if you factor in the $5 pricetag.

Tomorrow begins the workweek again. Ugh! Luckily we have a holiday in the middle.

Have a good evening folks!

Yes they did. I posted the flyer in the Black Friday thread for anyone who didn't get the email.

So glad someone started it.

Edit: Just checked... The only Omega Boar they have is an entry level 23mm. If that's anything like the one I have, it'll likely be a disappointment.

And Maggards is out of stock! In a comment from 2016, someone said exactly what you said, only gripe being the cheap sticker!

MaineYooper ... If you are Interested, they're in at the razor emporium. It seems cheaper than I paid, at $18.65 with shipping.

I just can't tell you for sure it's awesome until I've fully broken it in.

So yesterday I lathered the Kaizen for the first time. I wanted to see how it smelled, in comparison to off the puck.

While it's super sweet tangerine off the puck, when it lathers it turns into something completely different. I'm trying to remember the time of release... I think the soap was referred to as a Colonia scent? Whatever classification the lather / dry-down is, it lacks the Uber sweet I liked and brings on some sort of cologne type smell. I definitely won't be using this.

Ahh the perils of trial and error. Even sniffing them in a store won't prevent mishaps. Lol. C'est la vie!

Ps: Just as well, I don't care for the artwork they put on their soaps.

I don't care for the way their artwork has gravitated either and is actually the reason I did not repurchase Revolution which is a favorite scent of mine from them but will stick with Stirling's Deton 8 instead. Sorry it was not a win for you Paul
