Ahhh! I missed that. Thanks. The box I was looking at just say Personna Platinum and my mind wasn't working. I known I've seen Platinum Chrome before, it's just not used as frequently, I guess? Is Chrome a bad word In blade makers circles? Lol.

Been a while since I posted here, and I already announced it's pending arrival early on the acquisition thread... so I figured I'd post the "outcome" here.

I received my stabilized wood handle from Terra Firma Soapery. Already installed the knot. I think it looks nice! It is rather bulky in size, but it's a lightweight wood. So no heft or annoyance wielding it.

Thursday is its maiden voyage.[Image: 14aee221479c22c78bf11204626d1a04.jpg]

So regarding these blades... only two shaves in, but my thoughts to start:

The Prime blade was a bit rough on the first outing. Seemed sharp enough, but certainly not very smooth. Could be I got a bad blade. I'll definitely give them another go soon.

The Titan was smooth, maybe moreso than even the Israeli / German Personna. The efficiency seems to be around the same as the Personna comfort coated. This one will get a second shave to see how it stacks up. Keep in mind, I don't do 2 shaves on a comfort coated anymore... It's one and done. So, I'm hoping to find how it differs (or not).

I pushed the Super Sharp blade to the end as I can't find anyone who sells 100 packs. Why fall in love with a blade if I can only get it in packs of 5 at a time ($20 for 100 then). They're probably very new and still coming out. Thus, it'll get its debut later.

That's all for now. Tomorrow night I'll see how the Titan works on a second showing. Happy Wednesday folks![Image: 4fc0a069c1ae4e9eea44528d8999e176.jpg]

Back to the Dorco Prime again this evening. A completely different shave this time. Smooth and sharp! Time will tell if my original, less than great shave was a fluke or a more common happening.

Have a wonderful evening folks!

The green monster! That’s one substantial looking brush.

Lol. It absolutely is. To put it more bluntly, it's bulky. However it's also a very light wood. So it's easier to hold than it would appear.

Shave #2 on the Prime blade felt like a new Personna. Approx 9 hours later and my skin still feels BBS. Consider me impressed!

I'll grab a new one Wednesday and see how that fairs. If it is as good, we may have a contender for a new favorite blade.

I'm just a bit wary because the first blade I tried was only "good". Still, regardless of the outcome, I'm glad I revisited this one.

Somewhere I posted that there was a defect in the polish on this new brush I got. I can't find where I posted that, but I know it's out there. LOL.

I reached out to the seller today and he confirmed it shouldn't have been that way. However, he did note that it won't cause an issue with damage or deterioration. There's too much resin stabilizing the brush.

Here's the picture I sent to him. I raved about this brush when I got it, so it's only fair that I point out issues that I see as well.

Happy Thursday folks. We've almost made it to the Friday-Finish-line. [Image: 4c84a00e1ad4007b81f4ed366c4a16f4.jpg]
