I'll tell you what. When Mo hits on a scent he hits it good. Every artisan has some stinkers but my Lemon Bay came in today and the scent is just fantastic. I've sniffed those tubs like a dozen times today.

I definitely leaned to have at least "towel-dried" hands when handling this stuff (and hydrating only after I get it smeared out in my palm).  I really do like this new version though.  Certainly not a complaint--will never complain about too slick (especially when there is a known trick for handling).

I find it easier to use one of those little plastic sample scoop/sticks to get the right amount then smear it onto my hand.  More precise than my finger too.

Had a luxurious and wonderful shave this morning. This was my first time using Unum and grooming dept and I was not disappointed.

The scent off the puck was intoxicating, and only intensified as I loaded my brush. As I face lathered, the intriguingly sweet scent of the Labdanum blended with the incense, all while surrounded by faint notes of the honey and vanilla. In some ways, it reminded me of my Nefertiti soap, but more complex and seductive than sweet.

The post shave was glorious. Definitely up there amongst my soaps, but I’d like to shave with it more before further commenting. I am very impressed though; with no post shave product applied, my face felt amazingly moisturized against the frigid Ontario air this morning.

I’ve also received my Fortis shipment, but it’s being held hostage until Christmas by the Mrs! This soap is fantastic though and I cannot wait to try others.

The scent is extremely well blended and doesn’t have a harshness or chemically property that some other soaps I’ve used do. I’d say that Mo has done a fantastic job composing this scent and that I’m glad I bought 2 tubs! A real winner in my eyes. Well done Mo!

Hi AQU

Thank you for the wonderful post. I'm delighted you enjoyed Unum.

Unum is definitely an elaborate scent! The incense is my 7th incense accord in a release. Each incense accord I compose is very different the other ones. I'm super proud of this one Smile

Another person here with a luxurious and wonderful shave today.  Only I used Angel for the first time. A soap I've not seen mentioned much, but which WCS happened to have had in stock when I was viewing their sale items.  And I, also, was not disappointed. Far from it.

The scent is (at least to me) wonderful -- a complex mix of fruits and spices.  The official description is "Notes of mandarin, blackcurrant, fruit accord, cedarwood, oud, myrrh, rose, ambergris, amber, opoponax, guaiacwood, musk," which covers a lot of ground.  I first catch the wood spices as somewhat sweet, but not overly sweet, top notes but sufficed with some fruit, which expands later.  When lathering, it's just a mix of everything. So much going on that I wasn't sure what to pair as an aftershave and I went with the woody DRHarris Windsor.  But that aftershave is really too simple to do it justice.  Have to come up with a better alternative.

Here's where I get effusive:  what I'm learning is that when lathered on the face, Mohammed's soaps give a blanket of comfort, a richness of feeling.  That's what it's like for me: a blanket, a beard of rich creaminess.  I experienced it a back-to-back days earlier this week with Regenwald, and now with this base, as well.  It's a unique sensation.

I've also been using the Pre-shave for about a month now. It is just slippery and slick. I really must like it since, without thinking, I reach for it every day, and my coarse whiskers  get nice and slick.  And, on the other end of the shave, the post-shave feel was smooth and moist.  Again, what I've come to expect from GD soaps.  Top of the line.  As good as it gets.  I can think of only one other soap that may provide such a good post-shave feel from the soap itself.  But only one, and GD is equally good (maybe better?  certainly equally).

So, I'm not sure if it equates to a "religious experience" as Mohammad's further description would have it, but I had another incredibly satisfying and pleasurable shave. So much so that I'll be ordering a second tub......

Angel is really a gorgeous scent!  I just got this in the mail a couple days ago and have been loving it.  First Grooming Dept soap for me, will be getting more.

I'm glad you like it Marko!

Unum is an ItalianBarber/GD release only. Italian Barber has ordered a 2nd batch. It should be ready to ship late next week. It sold really well for them!

I remember having the previous release of Angel and did not like the scent at all, but that list of notes sounds so appealing that I may give it another go. Plus, I need to be able to observe that WICKED label closely, so I can make sense out of it.
